    River Terrace 2.0 is intended to be a walkable and bikeable neighborhood.

  • Small-scale apartment buildings

    In some residential neighborhoods in River Terrace 2.0, small apartment buildings with about 5 to 12 units would be allowed. Small apartment buildings typically offer a different living experience and set of amenities compared to a larger apartment complex. They might have features like:

    • Smaller parking areas and less pavement 
    • Closer to the street 
    • Similar height as a house  
    • No building manager on site 
    • Fewer or smaller-scale amenities 
    • Less landscaping and lawns 
    • Closer to a park 
    • No elevators 
    • Potential for ground floor accessible units 
    • No yard work for residents 
    • Options for larger units with more bedrooms 
    • Less noise and traffic than large apartment buildings near commercial areas
