Managing Partner of Robison Real Estate Holdings, LLC
  • J. Michael Robison is an accomplished real estate executive, entrepreneur, and civic leader whose career spans business growth, operational management, investment strategy, and community service. He is the Managing Partner of Robison Real Estate Holdings, LLC, the Founder, Chairman, and retired Chief Executive Officer of Lanier Parking Holdings, and the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ackceptional.com. Across these ventures, Robison has built a reputation for developing organizations, guiding complex operations, and maintaining a long-term focus on strategic growth.

Building a Foundation in Business and Finance

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His academic background provided a strong foundation in financial analysis, management principles, and organizational strategy. His connection to Georgia Tech also placed him within Atlanta’s growing business community, where he would eventually build companies and participate in civic organizations that helped shape the region’s commercial development.

Growing Lanier Into a Major Operating Platform

A defining achievement in Robison’s career was the creation and expansion of Lanier Parking Holdings. As Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, he helped transform the company into a substantial parking management and transportation services organization with operations extending across the United States, Canada, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

By the time Robison retired from the Chief Executive Officer position, Lanier managed more than 400 properties in approximately 50 cities. The company oversaw an estimated $15 billion in assets under management and generated approximately $140 million in annual management fee income.

Lanier’s expansion reflected Robison’s emphasis on structured operations, service quality, and sustainable business development. During his leadership tenure, the company received recognition for its growth, including placement on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Companies. Georgia Trend Magazine and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution also recognized the organization among notable fast-growing and privately held companies.

Shifting From Executive Management to Strategic Oversight

After retiring as Chief Executive Officer, Robison continued his relationship with Lanier Parking Holdings as Chairman. This transition allowed him to move away from direct operational responsibilities while remaining involved in governance, leadership development, and strategic planning.

His experience building Lanier from an emerging company into a large operating platform provides valuable perspective in evaluating growth opportunities, organizational risk, market conditions, and executive decision-making. His role as Chairman has centered on supporting long-term direction while helping leadership teams consider both immediate operational priorities and future business positioning.

Applying Operational Experience to Real Estate

Robison also serves as Managing Partner of Robison Real Estate Holdings, LLC. His approach to real estate has been influenced by decades of experience managing properties and service-based operating environments.

This perspective allows him to evaluate how practical property management decisions can influence financial performance and the overall sustainability of an investment.
