About the Case Discussion and Peer Consultation Group:
This clinical discussion group brings together early career and experienced mental health professionals to engage in in-depth case discussion and peer consultation through a psychoanalytic lens.
Led by psychoanalyst, Scott Boles, Ph.D. and Silvia Rodriguez, Ph.D., the group is designed to support the integration of psychodynamic theory and clinical practice. Participants present cases and receive feedback in a respectful, collaborative environment that encourages curiosity, openness, and clinical creativity.
It provides a safe, thoughtful, and collaborative setting for exploring challenging material, identifying therapeutic obstacles, and deepening clinical insight—with the opportunity to earn up to 15 CME credits per academic year. While occasional psychoanalytic readings may be suggested, the focus remains on the clinical material that emerges in the group.
The aim is to explore complex therapeutic dynamics, deepen understanding of the treatment process, and identify factors that may enhance or hinder therapeutic progress.
