Welcome to the JAS Classic 4-H Division of the show! This is an event for youth 21 and under who are members of 4-H Canada.

2025 Judge - Reese Wildman, Sangudo, AB

Showmanship classes are integrated into the Junior Showand the 4-H Show.  The judge will evaluate throughout the classes and mark his picks to come back for the finals.  Buckles are awarded to the Champion and Res. Champion Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Showman.

FEMALES - Across all JAS Classic Shows, females will show by age.

STEERS - Across all JAS Classic Shows, steers will show by weight.

CROSS ENTRIES - Animals can cross enter from the Junior into the Open Show, but they CANNOT cross enter into the 4-H Show. Animals entered in the 4-H Show must be shown by the 4-H member who has registered the animal as a 4-H project. No substitutes on the 4-H Project halter.

The only exception is if the member would like to use that animal for showmanship in the Junior Show.

Apparel is FREE for only for our Junior and 4-H exhibitors who register on or before the EARLYBIRD deadline on or before APRIL 15th!  If you registered for clothing on another JAS Classic form please do not register for a second hoodie. One hoodie per exhibitor.

There is the option to purchase apparel at the end of this form if you choose.

The program sorts according to the exhibitor name. Forms not paid for online are not automatically processed. You will NOT receive a confirmation if payment is not made. Entry is not accepted until payment is made.

HOTELS: Fort Saskatchewan is 10 minutes west of Josephburg and has an array of hotels. We suggest the Kanata Inn.

CAMPING: Limited camping spaces available. If you would like one please check it off below. No power hook-ups.

LIMITED INDOOR STALLING. Having a canopy tent is a good idea in case you stall outside.

RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT: In consideration of the Josephburg Agricultural Society, Strathcona County and the Classic Committee.

I, the undersigned, on behalf of my heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assigns hereby agree to indemnify,save harmless and release the Josephburg Agricultural Society, Strathcona County and the Classic Committee, their employees and agents, their heirs, administrators, executors, successors and assigns of, from and against all claims of every nature and kind whatsoever which may be made against myself and any person, firm, corporation, governmental agency and from and against any liability losses, damages, costs, form, arising from or in any way incidental to my activities while participating in the 2025 OPEN AND JUNIOR CLASSIC BEEF SHOWS on MAY 24, 2025.

Whether direct or indirect, consequential or otherwise. Should the applicant be a MINOR, the signature of any adult/guardian of such minor to this release and indemnity agreement constitutes release and indemnity of the Josephburg Agricultural Society, Strathcona County and the Classic Committee. Service by such MINOR to the same degree and extent as if such minor were an adult and capable of signing on his / her behalf. The undersigned hereby agrees to comply strictly with the rules and regulations of the Josephburg Agricultural Society, Classic committee and Strathcona County and hereby acknowledge receipt of written release and indemnity agreement.

MINOR CONSENT: I hereby consent to the entry of my MINOR in this livestock show and demonstrations and acknowledge that I read and signed the indemnity release and agree to the application terms, conditions, waivers and consent as set forth herein and accept responsibility hereunder for the participation of said MINOR.

I hereby grant Josephburg Agricultural Society permission to the publication and use of myself/my child's likeness for the purpose of promotion, publicity, advertising, or other manner or media. Likeness shall include, but not be limited to, photographs, sound and/or video recording, brochures, publications, web pages and promotional materials. I agree the actual material involved is and shall continue to be the property of Josephburg Agricultural Society and that neither I, nor my child, shall have any right of review or approval regarding the use of my child's likeness in such material.

PayPal accepts Visa, Visa Debit and MC. E-transfer must be arranged, call 780-998-9450. Forms paid for online are automatically processed. All others must be manually processed. Registration is not accepted until payment is made.

Late entries (after April 10, 2025) are double the price per entry for the 4-H Show and do not get a hoodie.

May 1 at 12 pm- Late Entries Close. No exceptions.

Earlybird Junior & 4-H Exhibitors will receive ONE FREE hoodie. Please only fill hoodie size out on ONE form.
