This pattern is a knitted stranded colourwork sweater, worked top-down with an European Shoulder construction.
Size range: Chest 71-172 cm / 28-68 inches. Find the schematics for size 1-11 below the introduction.
Ease: Classic fit, 5-10 cm / 2-4 inches of ease.
Modfication options in pattern: length for sleeve and body, and hip circumference.
Gauge: 20 sts to 25 rows to 10 cm x 10 cm
Needles: Size 4,5 mm (UK 7/ US 7), or to obtain the required gauge.
Yarn weigth: 225 meter per 100 g
I have knit the sweater with two strands held together for each colour. Both from Hjelholt Uldspinneri: Merinogarn 10/2 (500m per 100g) and Dansk Pelsuld 8/2 (400m per 100g).
For this pattern, if you are not using the exact yarn I used, the two strands held together, or a single strand, should be 225 meter per 100 g. The base colour and the pattern colour, should have same weight. There is no requirement for using a specific yarn, only that it is similar in weight as stated above and a wool/woolblend yarn. Colours are free of choice as well.
Test duration: The test knit will be run on Discord, from the 7th of April to the 2nd of June (10 weeks in total, with a possible extention of 2 weeks if needed)
Delivery: Pictures of your sweater - modeled and lying flat in good lighting and the finished measurrement of the sweater at the end of the testing period.
