Scholarship Honors Certificate Request Logo
  • Scholarship Honors Certificate Request

  • The Scholarship Honors Certificate originated in 1958 in order to recognize brothers for outstanding scholastic achievement. The calculations are based upon the GPA attained during the current academic year. In the case of the non-traditional grading systems, recommendations from their faculty during this time period are required. The certificate is issued by the Central Office following the request of the chapter’s Grand Council Deputy.

The Scholarship Tray Award is given to the Collegiate Chapter with the highest percentage of its eligible membership receiving Scholarship Honors Certificates in the academic year in question.

    Eligibility

Collegiate Members of Kappa Psi in their 2nd or 3rd professional year (of a 4-year professional program) who have attained a grade point average of at least three (3.0) or the equivalent B grade for the academic year are eligible for Kappa Psi's Scholarship Honors Certificate.

    • If your school follows a non-traditional grading system, you must upload a written recommendation from a faculty member at that school for each listed collegiate member below. (See below to download sample form.)
    • If your school is a 3-year program, only 2nd year students are eligible.
    • If your school is a 6-year program, students in their 2nd or 3rd professional year are eligible. In other words, students that are in their 4th or 5th year of college are eligible.

Additionally, your chapter must be in good standing with the Central Office as of May 31st of this year to be eligible for the Scholarship Tray Award.

Each collegiate chapter's GCD is responsible for confirming each collegiate member's eligibility. For the collegiate members eligible, please list their names below (grouped by their pharmacy year). GCDs may use the following forms to help confirm eligibility.

    • GPA Authorization Form
    • Recommendation Form (For Non-Traditional Grading Systems Only)

    Submissions Due: June 30th

Submissions past the deadline will be processed so that Collegiate Members may receive their Scholarship Honors Certificate, but the chapter will not be eligible for the Scholarship Tray Award.
