• When securing a reservation, you must use your full name as it appears on your valid passport (if international travel requires a passport) or valid government-issued identification: driver's license or state identification (domestic travel).
• It is best to pay your initial deposit as soon as possible to guarantee lock-in at the above rates. Rates are subject to increase.
• An international travel passport is required.  If you do not have a passport, please apply for one ASAP if you do not have a valid one.  (Applies to International Travel)
• If you fail to make monthly payments, your reservations are subject to cancellation after two missed payments, and all monies paid will be forfeited. 
• You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments.  Your rate is subject to the number of people sharing the SAME room.
• You are responsible for updating your personal information, including your address, as this is our primary way of communication.

  Should your plans change and cancel your booking on or by the final payment due date for a domestic or international trip, An FTC (future travel credit) is issued in 75% of the prepaid, forfeited, non-refundable payments or deposits. To qualify for the protection of cancel for any reason, you must purchase and pay the fee within six days of the initial trip deposit. (NO EXCEPTIONS)

About Essence Music Festival

The Essence Music Festival, known as "the party with a purpose," is an annual music festival that started in 1994 as a one-time event to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Essence, a magazine aimed primarily towards African American women. It is the most significant event celebrating African American culture and music in the United States. Locally referred to as the Essence Fest, in New Orleans, Louisiana, every year since 1994 except for 2006, held in Houston, Texas due to Hurricane Katrina. 2020 & 2021 due to the pandemic. Essence Music Festival features artists simultaneously performing on the main stage and standing-room-only super lounge stages.

Hotel Incidentals

Reservations and checking in and out.  Incidental charges are costs of items and services that are not part of the main bill.  You must give a credit card to cover any incidental expenses such as phone calls and room service. 

Incidental expenses are secondary expenditures associated with travel.  Examples of these expenses are baggage handler tips and room service tips.  Incidental expenses combined with meals into a single rate.  The term “incidental expenses” typically includes Fees and tips given to porters, baggage carriers, bellhops/hotel maids, room service, phone calls, damages, etc.

All hotels require the customer to pay an incidental deposit “security deposit” upon check-in.  The amount would be returned to the customer upon check-out if they did not incur any extra charges.  When paying by credit card and a debit card, it can take up to 10 business days for the release to fall from the account.

The charge between $50 and $200 per day.  Each incidental hotel fee varies.  Please contact the hotel for the incidental amount.
