Mentors who pick up and drop off youth from their home and/or school, the parent/guardian will communicate with the school regarding pick up schedules. Should an unforeseen delay or circumstance prevent a mentor from picking up the youth as scheduled, the mentor will communicate with both the school and parent/guardian and confirm other arragements for the youth to be picked up. The youth will not be allowed to take school transportation to meet the mentor at any other location.
Should a mentor leave a youth stranded, the Executive Director will review the individual case, meet with both the mentor and parent/guardian and formulate a plan for any future pick up and drop off of the youth.
If the youth is not present at the designated time and area, the mentor must immediately contact the parent/guardian. Should the parent/guardian be unreachable, the mentor must conact the Youth Program Coordinator.
