    • 4 Guaranteed Games per Pair
    • Single Round Robin (Pool Play), Semi Finals, Battle for Bronze and Gold

    • Novice Eligibility 
      • Be able to serve, return and maintain a basic rally.
      • Understand basic pickleball rules and scoring.
      • Be developing their dinking, third-shot and net-game skills.
      • No Gold podium finish in the Novice category.
        • Repeated podium finishes in Novice may trigger promotion to Low Intermediate.
      • No significant tournament history demonstrating Intermediate-level play.
    • Low Intermediate Eligibility 
      • Consistently get serves and returns into play.
      • Be able to sustain medium-length rallies.
      • Have developing control of dinks, drives and volleys.
      • Understand the difference between the soft and hard game.
      • Know basic third-shot drops and how to transition toward the NVZ.
      • Understand basic doubles positioning and partner movement.
      • Have not acquired a Gold podium finish in the Low Intermediate category.
        • Repeated podium finishes in Low Intermediate may trigger promotion to High Intermediate.
      • No tournament record or podium finish in High Intermediate or Advanced.
    • High Intermediate Eligibility 
      • Demonstrate consistent control of forehand and backhand shots.
      • Consistently place serves and returns with reasonable depth.
      • Have a reliable dinking game.
      • Be capable of executing third-shot drops and drives.
      • Have developed volley, block and reset skills.
      • Understand stacking, switching, poaching and court coverage.
      • Be able to identify and attack an opponent's weaknesses.
      • Have not acquired a Gold podium finish in the High Intermediate category.
        • Repeated podium finishes in High Intermediate may require Screening Committee Review.
      • No recent record demonstrating established Advanced / 4.0+ level ability.

  • Waiver and Release of Liability

  • In consideration of participating in DAYO 1st Anniversary Tournament which will be held on October 11, 2026 at Astra Pickleball Center, Cainta, Rizal, 

    I, {player1} and my partner, {q2_fullname0}, agree to the following:

    Acknowledgment of Risks: I understand that participating in a pickleball tournament involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to:

    • Muscle strains, sprains, and other musculoskeletal injuries
    • Falls and collisions with other players or objects
    • Injuries from being struck by a pickleball or paddle
    • Cardiovascular events
    • Heat-related illnesses
    • Other injuries, illnesses, or accidents

    Assumption of Risks: I freely and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the Tournament, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Released Parties (as defined below).

    Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the following parties:

    • Any sponsors, volunteers, officials, organizers, agents, employees, and representatives of the {DAYO}
    • This release extends to any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to my participation in the Tournament, including but not limited to any claims for:
    • Personal injury (including death)
    • Property damage or loss
    • Economic loss

    Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, and causes of action, including attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to my participation in the Tournament, including but not limited to claims made by third parties as a result of my actions or inactions.

    Medical Treatment: I authorize the Tournament organizers to seek and administer emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I agree to be responsible for all costs associated with such treatment.

    Severability: If any provision of this Waiver and Release is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

    Entire Agreement: This Waiver and Release constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior oral or written agreements or understandings.
