    Hi, I’m Tori! I'm the heart behind The Nourished Life: Mind, Body, & Spirit.

    As a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience in Women’s & Children’s Health and endocrine disorders, I’ve always been passionate about helping people take control of their health. But after 20 years at the hospital bedside, I realized that true wellness isn’t just about prescriptions and treatment—it’s about inspiring and empowering people to create sustainable, long-term health in a way that fits their REAL life.

    My own journey of yo-yo dieting, endless cardio sessions, calorie counting, and "motivational self-loathing" was all I ever knew and I was miserable.  My relationship with food was contentious and even though I was going to the gym regularly, I never saw much of a change on the scale.  In fact, when I was training for a 10k, my body fat percentage went up, even with all the miles I was logging! I was frustrated, exhausted, and ready to learn a new way.

    As a wife and busy mom of 2 sons with autism and other special needs, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to prioritize yourself when life is full of responsibilities, unexpected setbacks, and overwhelming emotions.  It is easy to put ourselves (and our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs) on the back burner while we fight through exhaustion, depletion, and burnout.  We stop fighting for ourselves because we are too busy fighting, advocating, and serving everyone else around us. Sound familiar?

    I was stuck in this cycle for years and have learned that when we NOURISH ourselves in mind, body & spirit, and when we open up to support, structure, and care, everything else benefits—our energy, our relationships, and our ability to show up more fully for the people we love.

    When we no longer have to white knuckle it through cravings (I'll show you how), no longer need to make food the enemy (yes, that's possible!), no longer need to tolerate being "hangry", irritable, and exhausted all the time (again, I will show you how)-we can more fully step into a life of SUSTAINABLE health, well-being, and JOY!
