The Cypress College Foundation invites you to nominate a "Citizen of the Year" who currently resides or works in your city (Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Garden Grove, La Palma, Los Alamitos/Rossmoor, Seal Beach, Stanton). This individual, selected by the local City Committee, will be honored at the upcoming 2022 Americana Awards taking place at the Disneyland Hotel on March 5, 2022. The award serves as recognition for the personal and professional achievements of local heroes living in our communities as we highlight the contributions and impact they have made. Our hope is to honor front line workers and members of the community who devoted themselves to helping those affected by the pandemic.
Past honorees include leaders in business, entertainment, sports, education, healthcare, law enforcement, the non-profit world and more. What they have in common is a commitment to their profession and their community.
Criteria for Nominations Include:
-
Lives, works or serves in the city in which he/she is nominated.
-
Is well-known, highly regarded and has remained active in the community for the past five years.
-
