  • Cost of entry:

    • Adult: $5 per entry/item
    • Junior: First entry is free, each following entry/item is $2 per
  • RULES:

  • 1. ENTRIES should be brought to Centennial Elementary School, 38875 NW 1st Ave in Scio. Entries will be accepted Friday, May 15th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (If this time does not work for you, contact the festival at lwffiberartshow@lambfair.com for other possible arrangements.

  • 2. All items must be entered into the correct lot, division and class - any item not properly entered correctly may be moved to the appropriate category at the judge's discretion (SEE PAGE 2 FOR DEFINITIONS)
  • JUNIOR ENTRIES:

  • 3. Junior exhibitors are youth, ages 5-18 years.
    4. To be eligible for The Fat Lamb Junior Award, juniors must be entered in the age-appropriate youth classes.
  • JUDGING:

    • Judging will take place Friday, May 15, after 6:00 p.m.
    • RELEASE TIME is 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2026, you may not pick up items before that time.
    • Each exhibitor must sign a release form when picking up their items – items may ONLY be picked up by names provided on the entry form.
  • AWARDS:

    • PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD will be awarded to the best overall entry as voted by fair attendees.
    • THE FAT LAMB AWARD will be given to the judge's choice of best overall adult entry.
    • THE FAT LAMB JUNIOR AWARD will be given to the judge's choice of best overall youth entry.
    • LOCAL CRAFTERS AWARD will be awarded to judge's choice of items submitted by entrants with a SCIO mailing address.

  • Handspinning Division: all yarn must be in appropriately tied skeins and a minimum of 25 yards.

  • CLASSES:

    1. Singles

    3. Novelty yarn
    4. Spindle spun yarn (drop spindle or heritage spindle)
    5. Youth (5 to age 18)
  • Hand Knitted and Crocheted Divisions: these are two SEPARATE divisions, please specify which on the entry form before identifying class.

    1. Outerwear
    2. Clothing (except socks)
    3. Accessories - hat, scarf, belt, etc.
    4. Socks
    5. 3-D items: amigurumi, stuffed animals
    6. Afgans, blankets, throws
    7. Household (towel, wash cloth, hot pad, runners, etc.)
    8. Youth (5 to age 18) - may be additionally divided depending on volume of entries received

    5. Blanket, afghan, yardage
    6. Household items (table linens, towel, wash cloth, hot pad, etc.)

  • Felting Division

  • CLASS:
    1. Wet-felted item
    2. Needle felted, flat item
    3. Needle felted, 3-D item
    4. Youth (5 to age 18)
  • Local Division

  • Entries must contain a minimum of 80% locally* (see definition below) produced animal and/or plant fiber. Describe blend percentage in the entry form item description. Items will be judged using the same criteria as for similar fiber arts classes including; appearance, preparation, suitability, technique, finishing, etc. Prizes will be awarded to the top entry in each class.
    *Definition of Local: Fiber is to have been produced in Linn County. You must include the address where the fiber was produced in your entry form item description.

  • Miscellaneous Division (No Lot Specification)

    1. Knitting loom or machine knitted item
    2. Rugs (hooked or braided)

    6. Youth (5 to age 18)
  • Should be Empty:
