Before beginning your application, please answer the following questions to be sure you meet some of IBKR's adoption requirements:
If applying for a small kitten, is there already a companion pet in your home?*

If you have pets in your home, are all of them spayed/neutered and have they seen a veterinarian within the past year and received all core vaccinations? (IBKR requires proof of vaccination status, if you are not sure vaccinations are current we encourage you to contact your vet).*

Care Information & Agreements
The cost of bringing a cat into your home goes far beyond the initial adoption fee. Ongoing expenses such as food, litter, toys, and other supplies add up.
How much do you plan to budget monthly for food, litter, and other supplies for your pet?*
I agree to provide proper care, including daily exercise and a healthy diet, for the animal I am adopting from Itty Bitty Kitten Rescue.*

All animals offered for adoption by Itty Bitty Kitten Rescue are healthy and have received appropriate vaccines, dewormers, flea treatments, spay/neuter surgery, and FeLV/FIV testing. A health record with details of treatments your pet has received while in foster care will be emailed to all new owners within one (1) week of adoption.
I agree to take my new pet to a licensed veterinarian within two (2) months of the adoption for a checkup. I realize no refund will be given for vet expenses I may incur.*

Commitment Information & Agreements
An energetic pet and energetic children. Normal kitten play can include biting, scratching, and jumping.
Are you willing to teach both your child and your new pet how to minimize these behaviors?*

Damage to your possessions. Kittens love to scratch. What they scratch and chew might include curtains, furniture, shoes, books, or woodwork. It is your responsibility to teach your new pet what they can and can’t chew and scratch, and provide good outlets for these behaviors.
Do you have the patience and time to work with them?*

A 15-year commitment. Cats can live 15 years or longer.
Have you thought about keeping your pet for that long, and caring for her in her old age?*

I agree not to sell, trade, loan or give away my adopted pet, and I will not allow it to be used for experimental purposes. I understand that my new pet may be returned to Itty Bitty Kitten Rescue, but I will not be eligible for a refund of fees paid.*
