7 Year Science/Statistics Requirement

All science and statistics prerequisites must be completed within 7 years from matriculation. As an example, for applicants applying for the Fall 2027 start term, prerequisite courses must have been completed in Fall 2020 or later.

General Biology | One Course
Lab required

Human Anatomy and Physiology | Year Long Series
Labs required

• This may be satisfied with either a combined series of A&P with labs or separate terms of Anatomy (lab required) and Physiology (lab recommended).
• Will accept two quarter series from Washington colleges and universities that offer the complete A&P sequence as a two-quarter sequence with labs.

Physics | Year Long Series
Labs required

• Standard year of General Physics

General Chemistry | Year Long Series
Labs required

• May not be introductory courses such as Introduction to Chemistry or Preparatory Chemistry.

Statistics | One Course

• One course from the following departments: Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or Mathematics 
• Biostatistics is accepted

Psychology or Sociology | Two Courses

• One General Psychology course
• One additional course in psychology
• Two upper-division Psychology courses can be accepted

English or Writing | One Course

• A writing-intensive course offered outside of an English or Writing department may be considered with valid evidence, such as a syllabus.
