• Short Track Speed Skating Equipment Order Form

  • Please find below a list of equipment needed for the class.

    The following equipment are the MINIMUM REQUIRED for class:

    • Short track speed skates
    • Helmet (no protrusions and large holes)
    • Cut-resistant gloves
    • Cut-resistant neck guard

    We also highly recommend to get blade guards for blade protection and a cut-resistant short track speed skating suit for safety.

    Prices may be adjusted depending on supplier costs. It can takes approximately 2-3 weeks for equipment ordering (shipment + equipment installation and sharpening) so please order in advance.

    It is best not to buy equipment from unauthorized vendors/unknown brands such as taobao as the quality of the boots and blades are often not good and can hinder the improvement of students. For skates brought from outside, if the blade quality is not good, we may not be able to offer blade sharpening service.

    Students will be in charge of their own equipment maintenance including regular sharpening of skating blades. Please note speed skating blades need to be sharepened by hand and CANNOT be done by the same blade sharpening machine as figure skates. Blade quality is very important to being able to speed skate well. You can find the Blade Sharpening Service form here and contact Hong Kong Skating School for arrangement.
