Institutional members shall be entitled to delegate a member of its governing body to represent it. Student MembershipOpen to all persons who are in full or part-time education on an accredited course in an institution of Library an Information Studies. Such members shall have the same rights as Associate members.

Corresponding Membership (50.00 USD)Open to institutions and persons resident overseas. Corresponding members shall be entitled to receive the publications usually distributed to members, but may not be elected to any office of the Association or vote at a General Meeting.

Associate MembershipOpen to all persons engaged in, or interested in Library and Information work, but who are not professionally qualified in these pursuits. Organizations interested in the Library andInformation field, but not directly engaged in it, may also be admitted to Associate membership. Associate members shall have the same rights and privileges as full members except that they may not be elected to any office of the Association.

Honorary MembershipPersons who have shown a keen interest in Library and Information development and have otherwise given outstanding service to the Association maybe admitted to Honorary membership. Nominations shall be submitted with supporting evidence the Executive Committee and the Executive Committee shall consider such nominations. Endorsed nominations shall be presented at an Annual General Meeting. Honorary members shall have the same rights and privileges as an Associate member.
