Student Registration for LifeWise Shawnee
In addition to their regular classes, parents have the option of enrolling students to participate during school hours in LifeWise Academy. The instruction is Bible-Based with the emphasis on Character Education.
- Students attend classes during the day on a schedule that fits the public school classroom rotation.
- Elmwood students will walk or ride with a teacher and classroom assistant to and from their LifeWise classes. The Elmwood classroom is next door inside Shawnee Alliance Church. Classes are on Thursday or Friday during specials, depending on the student's Elmwood teacher.
- Maplewood students: New student registrations are open with some class sessions close to capacity. When you register your child, you will be notified of the day and time of the class each week. Depending on the student's Maplewood teacher, classes are either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Maplewood students' classroom is inside Gardendale Church of God on Spencerville Road. (1 mile from the school).
- Shawnee Middle School 5th and 6th grade students will be shuttled to and from their LifeWise classes in our LifeWise 18 passenger buses. Classes are Tuesday and Wednesday. 5th and 6th grade boys class is inside Shawnee Alliance Church. 5th and 6th grade girls class is inside One Church on Yoakam Road, around the corner from Shawnee Middle School.
