Concurrent Enrollment refers to when high school students take college courses. If the courses are added to the student's schedule and Master Agreement, then the student is able to earn BOTH college and high school credit at the same time. Students are able to take a variety of college courses from any of the California community colleges.
Dual Enrollment refers to a special agreement between a Local Education Agency (LEA) and a specific community college. Our Sequoia Grove schools (Clarksville Chater School, Feather River Chater School, Lake View Charter School) have a Dual Enrollment agreement with Yuba College. Our high school students are able to choose from a select list of college courses to take at Yuba College. These courses are only open to our high school students.
Strong Workforce CTE refers to a special agreement between local community colleges and Strong Workforce Virtual Career Pathways. American River College, Cosumnes River College, and Sacramento City College will be offering career-focused college courses to high school students. Students will be able to take college courses specializing in a particular career field (hospitality management, business management, digital media design).
