Corgi Racer Application Form
Welcome to the official Little Stumps Racing Corgi Racer Application! We’re bringing the joy of corgi racing to sports events across the country and your corgi could be next on the starting line! (Serious applicants only, please.)
Event Details (varies by location)

- Arrival time: TBD (generally 1–4 hours before event start)

What We’re Looking For
- Corgis of all shapes, sizes, and personalities!
- No prior racing experience required — just a great attitude and readiness to have fun.
Corgi Racer Requirements
- Must be well-behaved and able to adapt to new environments.
- Must be current on vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, and one of DA2PP/DHPP/DAPP (proof required). Racers without current vaccinations will not be accepted.
- Must be spayed or neutered.
- Open to Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and American Corgis (Pembroke/Cardigan mixes).
- Corgi mixes with other breeds (including Cowboy Corgis or any non-corgi crossbreeds) are not eligible.
- Must be comfortable around large crowds, loud noises, and fireworks. (We do our best to limit exposure, but some sounds may be present.)
- Must be able to run or move independently (wheelchair corgis welcome — please note in application).
- May be required to wear a costume, bandana, or vest.
Handler Requirements
- Handlers must be able to safely participate, including releasing and catching their corgi on the field and maintaining control at all times.
- The race area is active and fast-paced, requiring handlers to be able to stand, walk/run short distances, and react quickly for safety purposes.
- Handlers must be 18 years or older.
Selection Process
- Racers will be selected by a specific deadline (varies by event) and notified by email.
- Selected owners must confirm participation within 24 hours of notification; otherwise, alternates will be contacted.
- Confirmed racers will submit an entry fee, which supports production, logistics, and race-day operations.
- Applications remain open until all racer spots are filled.
- All race communication will be sent via email from racers@littlestumpsracing.com
How to boost your chances of being selected:
We receive a high volume of applications for every race and often hundreds for just a handful of spots. Each race lineup is curated to reflect a mix of stories, personalities, and corgi energy! Here’s what helps your application stand out:
- Complete every section of the application, including photos and fun details about your corgi’s personality.
- Share a bit of your story: how your corgi joined your family, any unique quirks, or your connection to the event, team, organization or community.
- Follow directions carefully.
- Make sure your corgi fits the eligibility requirements listed above.
- Be creative and genuine, we love seeing each corgi’s personality shine through!
- Every application is reviewed carefully, and even if you’re not selected this time, we encourage you to apply again for future races. We love welcoming new racers at each event!
Terms & Conditions
Little Stumps Racing reserves the right to withdraw or disqualify any applicant or selected participant at any time if information provided is found to be false, incomplete, or misleading, or if event policies are not followed.
Participation in any Little Stumps Racing event is contingent upon meeting all event requirements and maintaining appropriate behavior during the event.
Applicants found to have intentionally submitted false information may be ineligible for future events.
Travel and lodging are not covered by Little Stumps Racing. All selected racers are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations unless otherwise noted by the hosting team.
By participating in a Little Stumps Racing event, you agree that photos, video, and likenesses of you and your corgi may be captured and used for event promotion, social media, broadcast, and marketing purposes.
Little Stumps Racing is all about fun and good vibes! Handlers are expected to maintain positive sportsmanship and respect toward other participants, event staff, and fans. Any aggressive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior (from dog or human) may result in removal from the event.
