The Regional Leadership Network (RLN) is an opportunity for members from every chapter, regardless of position or grade, to raise their hand and help build our region. Whether you want to plan events, envision new ways to strengthen our priorities, or build bridges between our communities across the region—there are endless ways for you to step up and lead.

Don't hesitate to text or email us if you need anything or have an idea for something you don't see here. As well, please share these opportunities with any Aleph or BBG that you think can make a difference in our region. Your 47th Regional Presidents

Aleph Engagement Committee
The Aleph Engagement Committee will work alongside the Regional Aleph Godol to elevate the AZA experience in our region. Committee members will explore new initiatives and ideas aimed at Alephs to spread spirit, build connections, and truly make an impact amongst the AZA culture in Lake Ontario. Meetings will take place on Zoom about once a month.

BBG Sunshine Committee
The BBG Sunshine Committee will work alongside the Regional N'siah to create welcoming and engaging spaces for all BBGs in our region. Committee members will explore new ideas and initiatives aimed at strengthening connections between BBGs, enhancing the impact of BBG events, and spreading positivity in Lake Ontario Region BBG. Meetings will take place on Zoom about once a month.

BBYO Separates Chair (1 Aleph or BBG)
The BBYO Separates Chair will work alongside the Regional Presidents to create and run a BBYO Separates program at each convention (FallCon and SpringCon) that will be offered as a third option during Separates. These programs, rooted in BBYO's values, serve as a time to separate from everyday commotion to engage in creative programming that strengthens siblinghood for members who chose to participate in BBYO Seperates at convention. As the BBYO Separates Chair you will be running BBYO Separates at convention so you will not have the option to attend BBG or AZA Separates. The BBYO Separates Chair must be available for 2-3 online meetings leading up to each convention and they must attend the final in-person steering committee meeting for each convention.

Connect Committee (5 Toronto/Vaughan + 3 Hamilton/Oakville + 3 Ottawa)
BBYO Connect provides 6th, 7th and 8th graders with safe, enriching programming, fun activities and meaningful involvement in the community. The Connect Committee will work alongside the Regional Morim or City Staff to help develop and steer BBYO Connect programs and initiatives for 6th-8th graders. Apply for this committee if you are passionate about creating a fun and unique atmosphere that can inspire younger kids to get involved in BBYO. Jewish Engagement Taskforce
The Jewish Engagement Taskforce (JET) will work alongside the Regional Shlichim to ensure Jewish content is meaningfully and consistently woven into BBYO programming all year long. As a part of JET, you will automatically serve as the JE Team on the steering committees for both FallCon and SpringCon. In addition, you’ll help plan and facilitate Jewish experiences at other regional programs, and lead both in-person and virtual initiatives to bring Judaism to life across LOR. JET is about more than just programming, it’s about creating a lasting Jewish impact and fostering meaningful Jewish connections across the region. JET members must be available for all in-person steering committee meetings for both conventions (FallCon Steering at the Vaughan JCC on Mondays Oct 5, Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9, and SpringCon Steering at the Vaughan JCC on Mondays Apr 12, Apr 19 and May 17  and Thursdays May 6, and May 13), and they will also have reccurring online meetings throughout the year.

Press Corps - Photography/Instagram
The Press Corps' Instagram Team will work alongside the Regional Mazkirim to engage members on Instagram. As a member of the Instagram Team, you will be responsible for taking photos at regional events and any notable chapter events and creating content for @lorbbyo on Instagram. Press Corps members should be interested in social media, love capturing interesting moments, and want to help promote BBYO. Meetings will take place on Zoom about once a month.

Press Corps - TikTok/Reels Committee
The Press Corps' Tik Tok Team will work alongside the Regional Mazkirim to engage members on Tik Tok. As a member of the Tik Tok Team, you will be responsible for coming up with fun ideas and creating content for @lorbbyo on Tik Tok. Press Corps members should be interested in social media, love capturing interesting moments, and want to help promote BBYO. Meetings will take place on Zoom about once a month.

Seniors Chairs (1 non-senior Aleph or BBG)
The Seniors Chairs will work alongside the Regional S'ganim to create a meaningful experience for seniors throughout the year. These chairs will plan a Seniors Program at each convention (FallCon and SpringCon) and will also coordinate our Seniors Overnight in the spring. Additionally, they can create swag for the senior class and develop initiatives and experiences for the senior class throughout the year. Seniors Chairs must be available for 2-3 online meetings leading up to each convention, they must attend the final in-person steering committee meeting for each convention, and they will also have reccurring online meetings throughout the year.

Merch Committee
In preparation for each convention the Merch Committee will work closely with the Regional Gizborim to create merch for members of the region to be sold at fall and spring convention, as well as at IC to sell our merch to international members of bbyo. Along with creating merch for the region, members will also help with merch counselling. People creating chapter merch will have the option to connect with members for help with creating their merch. They will work with them on pricing, design, advertisement, and other things that a person may ask for help with involving their chapter merch.

The Two Worlds Committee
The Two Worlds Committee will work with the Regional Presidents to connect the community with the Global Movement by linking members to International BBYO experiences. In this position you will help create excitement and teach members about International Convention and BBYO Summer Experiences before registration starts so teens can plan with confidence. You will organize activities, share important information and encourage Alephs and BBGs to use global opportunities. The Two Worlds Committee, requires you to be available for Zoom meetings during the year and work closely with the regional presidents, before major IC and Summer Launch campaigns.
