Thank you for your interest in the Page County Sheriff’s Office R.A.D. Self-Defense Systems course.
R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) is a nationally recognized self-defense program that emphasizes awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and physical defense techniques. This course is instructed by certified R.A.D. instructors with the Page County Sheriff’s Office.
Classes will be held twice weekly (May 12, 14, 19 & 21) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the gym at Mt. Carmel Christian Academy. The first class will consist of required R.A.D. paperwork and an introductory PowerPoint presentation. The second and third classes will focus on hands-on instruction in R.A.D. techniques. The fourth class is an optional practical session in which participants may apply learned techniques in training scenarios with instructors wearing protective gear.
Enrollment is limited to 30 participants and will be offered to the first 30 eligible registrants.
