Publisher Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Macaroni KID Publisher! If we do not currently have an opening for a Publisher in your area, we will add you to our wait list and contact you if one becomes available.

Steps to becoming a Macaroni KID Publisher:

1. Verify you meet our Publisher Qualifcations and are willing to fulfill the minimum Publisher Requirements outlined below. (These are listed on page 2 of the application.)

2. Submit your application. We will only contact you if we have a territory open that meets your request and if your skills and qualifications match what we are looking for.

3. Schedule a 15-minute interview with a member of our team.

4. Execute your License Agreement and pay your first three months' licensing fees. Fees are currently $79/month ($237 is due up front).

5. Attend our New Publisher Training Webinar and complete the New Publisher Training Curriculum within your first three months.

Please reference our list of Macaroni KID territories HERE to answer the question above. Open territories for which we are actively recruiting a publisher are indicated with an asterisk and colored dark red.

If your city/community is not listed, or is currently filled, you may apply for a territory nearby, but you must live within a 30-minute drive time radius of the territory you are applying for. We also accept applications for the wait list for filled territories.

 You must be applying to be the local Publisher for one of the Macaroni KID territories listed on our website in which you live within the required drive-time radius. We do not accept applications for local marketing specialists or remote positions.

Publisher Requirements

Writing is a big part of a Publisher's responsibilities. You must be comfortable writing articles and reviews about local businesses, locations and events happening in your town.

Please provide a brief writing sample (2-3 paragraphs max) describing your visit to one of your favorite, family-friendly places in your community (e.g., park or playground, splashpad, trampoline park, restaurant, etc.). Write as if you visited this past weekend and want to give your readers the inside scoop on the location.

Please do not spend more than 15 minutes on this. This is not meant to be a complete, polished article but merely to provide a snapshot of your writing ability and creativity.
