This letter serves as a notification of exemption that Miles Ahead Charter School (MACS) qualifies under rule 591-1-1-46(b)1 to provide a before and after care program. As a public, governmental entity, Miles Ahead is able to file for exemption in place of applying for licensure. Part of our charter process included completing facility review with both the county and the Georgia Department of Education which is similar to the process for applying for licensure to have a Before and After Care Program.

By offering our own programming, The MACS Crew ensures the quality and content of programming aligns to the daily curriculum, and can support students, staff, and the community across all service models.

About Our Program

The Miles Ahead Charter School Infinity Care Program provides a structured, engaging, and safe environment where scholars can grow physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally beyond the regular school day.

Admissions Requirements

To be considered for enrollment, all required forms and fees must be submitted before your scholar can attend the program. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to ensure that all forms remain up to date. Also, there must be no prior balances for your scholar(s).

Program Details & Procedures/Procedures

Ages Served: School Age (5 - 11 years)

Months of Operation: August - May

Days of Operation: Monday through Friday

Hours of Operation: 6:45 am - 6:00 pm

Before Care: 6:45 am - 7:30 am

Aftercare: 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Please note, there is not a grace period after carpool.

Closure Dates: The program will be closed on all federal holidays, student and teacher holidays, the Friday before Thanksgiving and Christmas break, half days, and in the event of weather/situational.

Miles Ahead Charter School strives to communicate emergency situations as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency, we will notify families of a cancellation of services so that they can arrange appropriate pick ups for their scholar(s).

Application Processing & Notification

Parents will receive an acceptance or denial email from the Operations Team within 3-5 business days of submission. Processing may be completed sooner.
To avoid delays, we strongly recommend submitting your application as early as possible. Scholars must submit and be accepted to participate in tutoring and clubs.
If a scholar has an outstanding balance from the previous school year(s), the application will be denied until the balance is paid in full. (Balance must be paid by application deadline in order to enroll for the 2025-2026 school year.)
Before submitting an application, please ensure all past due invoices are resolved.

Program Fees

Our Infinity Care Program fees are based on the number of days your scholar attends. Payments are due weekly, and invoices will be sent every Tuesday via ParentSquare and Tuesday folders. Payments must be made directly in ParentSquare.

Parents may contest invoices within 30 days of issue. After 30 days, invoices will not be reviewed.

Before Care Fees: With Application

1 or 2 days per week: $20 per day
3 or more days per week: Flat rate of $35 per week

After Care Fees: With Application

1 or 2 days per week: $25 per day
3 or more days per week: Flat rate of $85 per week

Additional Fees: With Application

Late Pickup Fee: $2 per minute per child after 6:00 PM (according to the school's clock)
Sibling Discount: $10 off per additional child

Payment Method:

MACS is a cash-free school - All payments must be made directly in ParentSquare via desktop (mobile not supported No outside payments (including Square Pay) will be accepted.

Overpayments on invoices are prohibited. Please pay the exact amount of the invoice. Repeated overpayments requiring manual corrections may result in the suspension of services.

Suspension Policy

Students may be suspended or withdrawn from the After School Program for the following reasons:

Three Late Pick-ups
Non-payment or Late Payment of Invoices
Discipline Problems
Principal's Discretion

If an emergency occurs that threatens the welfare of a student, a school official will contact the Cobb County Police Department. Late pick-up from Infinity Care may be considered such an emergency.

Behavior and Discipline Policies

The Miles Ahead Charter Infinity Care Program strives to provide a warm and welcoming environment for students and families. Our expectation is that everyone in our community will behave in a respectful, responsible and caring manner toward one another. The following behavior and discipline guidelines have therefore been established.

Any form of lewd behavior, bullying, aggression, violence, disrespect or foul language will not be tolerated. Clothing, toys, books or any other objects depicting, displaying or supporting any of the aforementioned will not be tolerated.

Disciplinary Actions:

All write-ups must be signed by parent/guardian.

First Infraction

Verbal warning (A write-up will be written and a copy given to parent/guardian for record

Second Infraction

Scholar completes a Scholar Reflection form, signed by the student and parent. (A write-up will be written and a copy given to parent/guardian for record

Third Infraction

Suspension from the program for up to two weeks. Parents are contacted. (A write-up will be written and a copy given to parent/guardian for record

Failure to improve behavior WILL result in the dismissal of the program until the next school year.

Emergency Medical Care & Illness Policy

In case of emergency, first aid will be applied, and parents/guardians will be contacted. If necessary, 911 will be called, and the child will be transported to Wellstar Paulding Hospital.
If a child has a fever of 101°F or higher or other contagious symptoms (rash, diarrhea, sore throat), they must be picked up within one hour of notification.
Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning.
If diagnosed with a communicable disease, a doctor's clearance is required before returning.

Going the Extra Mile Tutoring Program

The Going the Extra Mile Tutoring Program is designed to provide structured academic support for scholars enrolled in the Infinity Care Aftercare Program at Miles Ahead Charter School. Our goal is to reinforce classroom learning, improve academic confidence, and support students in key subject areas.

Tutoring is an optional add-on for 2nd - 5th grade families who want additional academic support for their child. Sessions will be held during Aftercare hours, allowing students to receive personalized attention from experienced educators.

Tutoring Schedule & Format

Available Subjects: Reading, Math, Writing, Homework Assistance
Schedule: Tutoring will take place during Aftercare hours, Monday - Thursday Session Length: 60-minute structured sessions

Behavior & Attendance Policies

✅ Three-Strike Rule: If a scholar receives three behavior-related strikes, they
will be removed from the tutoring program.
✅ Aftercare Suspension: If a scholar is suspended from Aftercare, they are also
suspended from tutoring for the duration of their suspension.
✅ Aftercare Removal: If a scholar is removed from Aftercare, they are also
removed from tutoring permanently.
✅ Respect for Staff & Peers: Disruptive behavior, refusal to participate, or
disrespect towards tutors and peers will not be tolerated.
✅ Regular Attendance: Frequent absences without notice may result in removal
from the tutoring program.

Scholars and parents/guardians are expected to adhere to these policies to maintain enrollment in the tutoring program.

How to Register?

Parents interested in enrolling their scholar(s) in the Infinity Care

Complete the Infinity Care Enrollment Form and select the tutoring add-on.
Await confirmation from the Operations Team regarding enrollment status.
