    Dog / Puppy Adoption Application
  • Thank you for considering adoption through Mama Rhea Animal Rescue.

We are located in Hillsborough, NJ and adopt within a 2-hour driving range of our location.

Dogs and puppies are fun, loving, playful, and rewarding companions, but they are also a lifelong commitment. Before starting this application, please make sure you are prepared to fully commit to the time, care, training, and responsibility that comes with adopting a dog or puppy.

As part of our adoption process, Mama Rhea Animal Rescue requires a veterinary reference check and a brief video home visit. Please contact your veterinarian and give them permission to speak with Mama Rhea Animal Rescue regarding your current or previous pets. The video home visit allows us to view the primary living areas of your home as well as your backyard/outdoor area. Both the veterinary check and video home visit are required in order for an application to be fully processed. Because we are a volunteer-run rescue and may receive a high volume of applications, we will reach out only if your application is approved or selected to move forward.

Our goal is to find the best possible match for each dog in our care. We carefully review each application and consider the individual dog’s needs, personality, and what type of home will be the best fit. The applicant we feel is the strongest match will be contacted to continue the adoption process.

If you are ready to become a Paw Parent, please complete this adoption application as thoroughly as possible. The form may take approximately 10–25 minutes to complete.

Please note: Submission of an application does not guarantee adoption. Mama Rhea Animal Rescue reserves the right to approve or decline an application based on what we believe is the best and safest match for each individual dog or puppy.
