  • If circumstances arise that prevent you from fulfilling this, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can make a plan together.  Will you commit to contacting us in case this situation arises?
  • It is very important to us that every Maple Lane Doodle always has a loving home and never ends up in a shelter or rescue. If at any time you are unable to keep or care for your Maple Lane Doodle even after his/her breeding career is completed, will you commit to contacting us so that we may assist with re-homing?
  • Maple Lane Guardian Program includes the following for females:

    · Additional vet visits for testing in each breeding cycle.  This is a breeding expense and will be covered by us of course, but, depending on your distance from our home and vet office, you may need to take her to your vet for those additional visits.

    · Periodic eye screenings and additional hip testing for breeding, which we will generally provide transportation for (cost covered by us).

    · We will need to take her 2-3 times over the course of several days for breeding at each breeding cycle, each time for several hours.

    · She will need to return to our home for whelping and caring for her puppies. If you are interested in mom and puppies staying in your home from whelping (which we would attend) through 6 weeks, we can discuss that possibility.  There is financial compensation for the time and work involved in caring for the puppies.  This option is only open if there if either spouse stays home as puppies require regular attention throughout the day.

    · You will need to make us aware of the early signs of heat and the arrival of her heat cycle each time, whether or not we intend to breed on that cycle so that we can track her cycle.

Maple Lane Breeding Program includes the following for Males:

    · Additional vet visits for testing when he is bred.  This is a breeding expense and will be covered by us of course, but, depending on your distance from our home and vet office, you may need to take her to your vet for those additional visits.

    · Periodic eye screenings and additional hip testing for breeding, which we will generally provide transportation for (cost covered by us).

    · We will need him for a few hours 2-3 times over the course of 3-5 days when we breed him.  We will work together on timing and transportation.

    · Being aware that intact males have a strong desire to reproduce and cannot be allowed access to intact females, even young females, who are in heat.

  • Please confirm your understanding of the conditions above and intention to participate.
  • Preparations For Bringing Your Puppy Home

  • Are you prepared to invest the time and assume the responsibility required to raise a puppy?
  • Do you understand that puppies need very frequent potty breaks during the day and even late at night?
  • Are you aware of a doodle's grooming needs?
  • Puppy fur is quite forgiving and easy to care for.  Around 8 months of age, their adult coat will come.  Adult coats mat more easily.  If you keep your Australian Labradoodles' fur shorter than 3 inches, weekly brushing and careful cutting out of any stubborn mats will keep your dog's coat beautiful and mat-free.  If you want to keep their fur longer, you will need to brush multiple times each week or even daily.  Remember, mats are painful to their skin.

Australian Labradoodles need to see the groomer every 6-8 weeks throughout their lifetime.

  • Do you commit to feed your dog a high quality dog food rather than grocery store quality food?
  • Will you commit to attending obedience training classes to properly train and socialize your puppy? Maple Lane breeding dogs are walking advertisements for our breed and must be well trained and have good manners. Training requires time and consistency, whether you elect in person classes, hire a personal trainer, or use online options. A well-trained dog is a lifetime blessing and well worth the effort and investment. We are happy to help you find the right options for you.
  • May we contact your vet for a reference?
  • Breeding dogs require a high level of nutritional support. We require all of our guardians to feed their dog Life's Abundance, add 1/4c unprocessed meat and 1/4c fruit or veggies and 3 supplements daily, to include AVN's ProBalance, Geneflora or Fortiflora, and Grizzly Fish Oil. A 90-day supply of Life's Abundance and supplements is approximately $200, including shipping costs. These quality products will also result in a healthier dog with fewer vet costs as your dog gets older.
