  • Mazuma Foundation Grants 

    Welcome to the 2026 Mazuma Foundation Grant Application.  Through charitable giving in our grant program, the Mazuma Foundation strives to partner with non-profit organizations to help improve the quality of life in Mazuma's field of membership including Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass, Johnson, and Wyandotte counties in the Kansas City region.  Our core areas of giving are Community Development, Financial Educations, and the Arts. 

    We understand that many of our community partners may serve several areas of impact.  Please select the grant application that best fits your organization's core area of impact. 

     

    Mazuma Foundation's Financial Education Grant

    This grant supports the development of financial knowledge, entrepreneurship, or career development for youth or adults in the Kansas City area. Grants will support organizations' general operating funds or specific projects and amounts will go up to a maximum of $15,000.   

      

    Eligibility and Instructions 

    • Please fill out the entire application and upload the following documents: 
      • IRS Form 990
      • Financials
      • List of elected Board of Directors, including occupations
      • Strategic Plan or Business Objective Strategy
      • If organization received a grant last year, a Final Report is required to be uploaded.
    • Applying organizations must be a registered 501(c)3.  
    • Please submit only 1 total grant application.  Do not apply for multiple grants or types of grants.  
    • Your organization or project must not be another foundation, endowment, donor advised fund, or higher education scholarship.

Financials - Please attach a copy of your most recent independently audited financial statements with your application.  If not available, include a copy of your most recent unaudited financial statements. Internally prepared statements must include income statements and balance sheets for your reporting year.  
    3. List of Board of Directors - This list must include names and board position.  Also include Board Members' occupations if relevant to their position on the board.  
    4. Strategic Plan or Business Objective Strategy
    5. Final Report if you received a Mazuma Foundation grant last year.
