Maryknoll School Alumni Hospitality Room Policy & Request Form

The 35,000-square-foot, three-story Maryknoll Community Center is a multipurpose, year-round gathering place for athletics, Mass, school assemblies, and special events. In addition to the gym facilities on the ground floor, the Maryknoll Community Center features 21st-century classrooms and meeting space, an Alumni Hospitality Room, and a state-of-the-art fitness training center on the second floor.

In the past, the Alumni Room has been used for department meetings, admin gatherings, and luncheons, alumni class reunion planning and gatherings, alumni council meetings, alumni week planning committee meetings, teams and coaches meetings, and pregame venue for alumni/faculty/parent socials.  

1. Requests for the Alumni Room will go through the Alumni Office in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
    
2. Any requests made by a staff or faculty should come from the respective department head. (Departments will generally make a request through their supervisor.
   
   
   • Ex.: A teacher at the grade school will go through their director and then the director will send in the request depending on the day and time. 
     
     
3. The Alumni Room will be made available during daily school hours for school operations as needed.
   
   
4. From 3 pm - 9 pm on school days and 8 am - 8 pm on non-school days (excluding Sundays), the Alumni Room will be open to:
             
   • Alumni for Alumni-related events/gatherings   
   • Athletics for Athletic-related events/games 
   • School-sanctioned meetings and events
     
     
5. Department heads will email the Admin Assistant and CC the Alumni Relations Officer in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

6. Upon approval, requests will go into the MCC master calendar on Maryknoll School's Microsoft Outlook platform.
   
   
7. Requests MUST comply with current C.D.C, State of Hawaii, City & County of Honolulu, and Maryknoll School protocols and COVID-19 mandate.
