Class Agent Program

Class agents are an integral part of Maryknoll's Alumni program and serve vital roles in the school's connection with each class. Class agents keep their classmates in contact with one another and up to date on alumni and school activities. This helps keep the school informed about alumni milestones, including births, marriages, job changes, and significant events like class reunions. You are encouraged to have as many classmates as you wish to join in the role of class agent.

Class Agent responsibilities:

• Provide the Maryknoll Alumni Office with current information about classmates: address, telephone, and email changes; marriages, births, promotions, career changes, moves, retirements, and deaths. 

• Encourage alumni to attend events, including Alumni Week, reunions, homecoming, etc.

• Help gather news/class notes from classmates for the alumni newsletter, the Knoller, and social media.

• Help organize a committee to plan and promote class reunions.

• Help organize participation and volunteering at alumni functions.

• Help organize and plan class gifts in significant reunion years, such as five years, 10 years, 25 years, 40 years, and 50 years.

• Help the school find any “missing” alumni (graduates or non-graduates).

• Be an ambassador and help deepen alumni relationships with the school. 

Class Agents truly embody the Maryknoll motto: Noblesse Oblige - to whom much is given, much is expected.

Alumni Data Confidentiality Agreement

I understand that in my role as a Class Representative for the Maryknoll School Alumni Association, I may be provided with access to personal and confidential data. This data may include information about Maryknoll alumni, current students, parents, faculty, and staff.

I will maintain in strictest confidence all of the data to which I have access. I will share information with Maryknoll employees and I will exercise reasonable care in how it is shared. I will not share personal or otherwise confidential data with individuals who are not authorized to access such information for solicitation or personal gain.

I will take reasonable precautions when accessing such information, and do so only from trusted personal computers and mobile devices, using secure wireless networks, password-protection, and sensible device-management practices (e.g., keeping software up to date, running regular anti- virus scans, enabling firewalls, etc I will not share public access to any files given by Maryknoll School without authorization. When disposing of confidential data, I will ensure that such data is shredded, securely deleted, or otherwise disposed of in a permanent and complete fashion. If at any time I believe that my account credentials are at risk for unauthorized access, I will notify the Office of Alumni Relations staff immediately.

I will use my access to confidential data only to advance Maryknoll Alumni Association’s mission and as sanctioned by Maryknoll School. I understand that the use of confidential data for personal purposes is strictly prohibited.

Reproduction and storage of given information for a prohibited purpose using any means of retrieval, whether electronic or mechanical such as photocopying, recording, and digital storage, as well as publication in print or online to any website without the express permission of Maryknoll School, shall be considered a direct violation of this policy and constitutes misappropriation of corporate property. Such unauthorized use may also violate the rights of privacy and/or publicity of individuals listed and constitute tortious interference with contractual relationships related to this information.

By signing this Agreement, the undersigned acknowledges that he/she has read and understands the “Data Confidentiality Agreement” as described above, agrees to adhere by said policy, and acknowledges that violation of the policy may result in possible dismissal as a member or affiliate with Maryknoll School and/or Maryknoll Alumni Association.
