Training Gear Policy
All players must wear the Memphis IFC training jersey for all training unless instructed otherwise by their coach. Shin guards must be worn with socks pulled up over the shin guards.
Memphis IFC uniforms are required at all Memphis IFC games, friendlies and tournaments. Coaches and/or team managers will direct each team as to which uniform color to wear for each game. Players should always bring both full uniforms to each game in the event that a uniform switch is necessary. Coaches reserve the right exclude a player without the proper equipment from a training session or game.
Embellishments may not be added to any team uniform at any time.
Equipment
All players are expected to bring the following equipment to each training session and game:
- Soccer cleats
- Shin guards
- Water bottle
- Properly inflated soccer ball
Logo Policy
We believe it is important to protect the use of the club name and its logo, so they are used only as approved by Memphis IFC and only with authorized vendors. No one is allowed to use the logo in any manner without the prior written authorization from Memphis IFC. Failure to follow these use restrictions may result in player team suspension or expulsion.
Plans for Bad Weather
- The players or parents should never assume that a game or training session will be cancelled.
- The coach will always make the final decision.
- Contact the coach personally to find out if a game is cancelled, don’t rely on word of mouth
- In the event of bad weather, all decisions to close the fields will be made and communicated by the team coach. Training may be moved to an indoor facility.
- In the case of lightning, games and practices will be suspended when lightning comes within 10 miles
Program Guidelines
Player attendance
Players are expected to attend all team events, including trainings, games and any other team-related activity. Memphis IFC understands that circumstances arise that may prevent a player from attending these some events. A parent/guardian is required to give their coach proper notification as far in advance of the absence as possible.
Punctuality to training and games
Players must attend all team training sessions and must arrive to training on time. If a parent or player knows they will be late to a session or game, they must contact their coach in a timely manner.
Players must arrive 15 minutes before scheduled practice time, 30 minutes before scheduled league game times and 45 minutes before scheduled tournament game times.
Individual Player Responsibility
While Memphis IFC serves as a facilitator in the process of achieving both individual player and team goals, each player must take personal responsibility for their development as a soccer player.
Playing time is not automatic; it is earned! Players normally will receive enough playing time for their continued development. However, the coach will use the following criteria to determine an individual player’s actual playing time. These are in no particular order and at the total discretion of the coaches:
- Player attendance
- Player performance and ability
- Player attitude, commitment, and coachability
- Players ability to improve
- Players representation of club
I Parent/Guardian * * , hereby certify that I have read and fully understand MIFC’s Policies and Pledges, and agree to each of the above terms and conditions.
