  • 2025 CMAA Award for Creating Respectful Environments

    The CMAA Award for Creating Respectful Environments recognizes a program and construction management professional or organization with a demonstrated commitment to at least one of the following: 1) Promoting, developing, and educating professionals to build and sustain teams and work cultures that are respectful, professional, and ethical. 2) Promoting the importance of collaborative teams composed of individuals working together with common goals and representing unique perspectives. 3) Promoting or creating CMAA member experiences where all people are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Eligibility

    • Nominees must be CMAA members in good standing; in the event an organization is nominated at least one member of the leadership team (staff or volunteer) must be a CMAA member in good standing..
    • Current members of the CMAA Board of Directors, the CMAA Foundation Board of Directors, and the CMCI Board of Governors are not eligible for this award.
    • No individual may receive the award more than once.

    Criteria

    This award recognizes:

    • Individual accomplishments or contributions that have had a significant and cumulative effect on the growth and development of CMAA or the CMAA Foundation.
    • A record of building brand awareness of CMAA resources and the program and construction management professionals who steward the entire project life cycle.
    • Individual contributions to expanding the program and construction management narrative and telling the stories of the roles, opportunities, breadth, and values of the profession.
    • A record of addressing the future needs of the association while honoring the past.

    • A 1,200-word narrative that describes how the individual meets the purpose and criteria listed above. Be specific. Include a summary of how the nominee has contributed to CMAA or the CMAA Foundation (or both if appropriate).
    • One letter of support from the nominator submitting and supporting the nomination.
    • At least two and not more than four signatures endorsing the nomination. These should be from CMAA members in good standing with knowledge of the nominee, their record of achievement, and the effect of their efforts.
