MEDIA REGISTRATION ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
Complimentary media registration is intended for journalists who are employed by accredited news organizations. Print and broadcast reporters, freelance reporters, established bloggers and podcasters with appropriate credentials may apply for complimentary media passes.
All are required to register using this media registration form and must present media identification.
Accepted credentials, which can be uploaded with this submission, include:
• An internationally accredited media pass or a business card issued by a recognized news organization
• A current publicly-available masthead or staff list from a recognized news organization
Freelance reporters are required to register using the media registration form and must submit an official letter of assignment from an accredited news organization.
Bloggers and podcasters requesting media passes are required to register using the media registration form and must demonstrate previous coverage as well as a sizeable and/or significant public or professional following. Bloggers and podcasters must submit a letter including theiraddress, audience reach and a statement of purpose regarding attendance.
The Miss America Organization, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to withhold Press Credentials from representatives of the news media for any reason, and also reserves the right to revoke Press Credentials from representatives of the news media throughout the duration of the Miss America Competition and competition events.
Registered media are required to wear thier media badge at all times while onsite. Events open to the media will be posted.
All onsite interviews must be coordinated through the Miss America media office.
Press credential requests will be considered upon submission of this form. All credentials will be confirmed via email prior to the event. On-site credential pick-up information will be sent with the electronic confirmation of credentials. Incomplete credential forms will not be considered. Approval of credentials is contingent on media space and is determined by the Miss America Organization.
