MISO will accept at-large contestants who meet the minimum eligibility requirements as defined on the Miss America Website.

Before completing this form, please register to compete on the Miss America website. Sign up through registering at the link below ($39.99), do not sign up for a local competition!

Please complete the following application to be a contestant for Miss Illinois. The fee to compete is $750, along with other fundraising requirements. Every contestant must have an official Miss America crown and sash. The crown and sash are at an additional cost to be paid by the contestant. If you have a current MAO Miss Crown you do not need to purchase one. Proof of correct crown will be required.

There will be additional fundraising requirements (i.e. ad pages and raffle tickets to be sold) and that information will be available in the paperwork instructions that you will recieve after payment has been made.

You must attend or have an excused absence for the Spring Kick Off meeting on April 21, 2026 at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield, IL. Located at 701 E Adams St, Springfield, IL 62701.

Simply Elegant By Cheri at 2790 Woodlawn Rd, Lincoln, IL 62656 will be coordinating the opening number dress sales and fittings. The cost of the dress will be paid by the contestant. Simply Elegant By Cheri can be reached at 217-651-8282 and www.simplyelegantbycheri.com. You may visit them at your convenience to be fitted and select your dress. To guarantee delivery, you must select and order a dress on or before April 5, 2025 (Spring Kick Off).

Lastly, all Miss and Teen contestants are invited to be a part of the VIP Party that will be hosted by Simply Elegant By Cheri on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 4:30 pm. Kindly RSVP to attend at www.simplyelegantbycheri.com.
