2026 Washington Pinecone Application

A non-competitive mentoring program for girls age 6-10
Join the magical world of Miss America, an iconic 100-year-old organization and the Miss Washington's Teen Program as a Pinecone! Girls age 6-10 will develop skills including healthy living, etiquette, poise and self-confidence while making friends and be mentored by one of our Teen Candidates in this non-competitive program.

In addition to the program mentorship, the $350 fee includes:
- An official Miss America's Little Sister pink stone mini round crown and official sash
- Pinecone t-shirt for state production number
- Entrance into Pinecone Coronation Day activities - Coronation Luncheon, visit to Hands On Children's Museum, Dessert Dash (April 11, 2026 in Olympia, WA)
- Entrance to the 2026 Miss Washington's Teen Competition (June 29-July 1, 2026 in Olympia, WA)
- Pinecone on-stage performance at MissWATeen 2026 (rehearsals will be 6/28-6/29, 2026, performances on 6/30 and 7/1)
- On-stage introduction with Teen contestant during Evening Wear Competition (Prelim Night One, 6/29)
Fee Discounts:
- $275 Sibling Discount (Sister competing as Teen, Ambassador or participating as a Pinecone)
- $300 - Returning Pinecone (if replacement crown or sash is not required)
Wardrobe:
- Evening Gown - any color, full length gown.
- Production number outfit (T-shirt will be provided, other details TBD)
Ad Sales:
- All Pinecones will sell 1/2 page ad for the competition magazine. 1/2 page cost is $250
- A cash prize will be awarded to the Pinecone the sells the most ad pages. (Minimum of 1 full page to qualify)

The following rules will help the Pinecone program participants understand what is expected of them at rehearsals and the night of competition.

Participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times, until/unless they are with with program coordinators at an event, competition or rehearsal.

A Pinecone will not make an appearance in her community wearing her crown unless she is making an official appearance with or given permission by the Miss Washington Scholarship Organization.

This is not a pageant or a “title,” it is a mentoring program.

There are no refunds of any fees.
