1. Acceptance of Terms
Participation in this Open Call implies the full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, as well as the general guidelines of the call. The registration fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee project selection.

2. Eligibility
Artists, curators, and artistic collectives with a moderately or highly developed career whose practice aligns with Mixi Art Studio's curatorial vision may apply.

Applicants residing outside the United States must review international shipping requirements prior to submission, as Mixi Art Studio is not responsible for verifying, advising on, or managing information related to international shipments.

3. Accepted Categories
The Open Call accepts proposals in the following categories:

• Painting
• Sculpture
• Ceramics
• Textiles
• Video Art
• Installation

4. Participation Fee
All applicants must pay a non-refundable registration fee of USD $20.00 (twenty US dollars) through the system indicated in the call guidelines. This fee covers administrative costs and does not guarantee acceptance.

5. Artist Commitments
By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the artist declares and agrees to:

5.1 Authorship and Exclusivity

• Declare that they are the sole and legitimate author of the submitted work and hold all rights to it.
• Confirm that the work is not being promoted, offered for sale, or on commission with any other gallery or institution at the time of application.

5.2 Submission Materials

• Submit high-quality photographs of the work that accurately represent the original piece without any editing that alters its appearance.

5.3 Shipment of Works

• Send the physical and/or technical materials required for exhibition on time and according to the specific dates provided to each selected artist.
• Assume and fully cover the costs of shipping the work to Mixi Art Studio and the return shipping after the exhibition ends.

5.4 Liability for Shipping and Repairs
Mixi Art Studio is not responsible for any damage, loss, theft, deterioration, or misplacement of the works during inbound or return shipping. The artist assumes all risks related to transportation and must obtain appropriate shipping insurance. The gallery does not cover or pay for any repairs, restoration, or treatment of the works, regardless of when or how the damage occurred.

6. Mixi Art Studio Commitments
Mixi Art Studio commits to organizing a professional-quality exhibition, providing appropriate space, lighting, and display conditions for the works to be exhibited optimally.

Additionally, the gallery will handle the promotion and dissemination of the exhibition through all its channels and social media with the highest professional standards.

Mixi Art Studio also commits to creating a digital catalog of the exhibition, which will be used to promote and disseminate the works among its network of collectors, buyers, and potential clients.

7. Collection of Works and Storage
Selected works must be collected within 7 calendar days following the closing of each exhibition.

Artists are required to either:

• Schedule a pickup with Mixi Art Studio, or
• Provide a prepaid shipping label for drop-off via FedEx or UPS.

All return shipping services must be fully prepaid by the artist. Mixi Art Studio does not have storage space. If works are not collected or shipped within the established period, the gallery will not be responsible for them after the de-installation period ends.

8. Pricing of Works
All prices must be set in US dollars (USD) as public retail prices, reflecting the real market value according to the level of development and career stage of the artist. Mixi Art Studio reserves the right to request reasonable price adjustments if they are not consistent with the artist's career level and market standards.

9. Exclusivity During Commission
The artist agrees not to promote, offer, sell, or negotiate the selected works with third parties while they are on commission with Mixi Art Studio. All sales inquiries must be channeled exclusively through the gallery.

10. Schedule

• Open Call Launch: June 22, 2026
• Application Period: June 22 to August 14, 2026 (11:59 PM MDT)
• Selection Period: August 17 to August 28, 2026
• Notification to Selected Participants: September 1 to September 4, 2026
• Confirmation of Participation: To be communicated individually
• Shipping of Works: On specific dates to be communicated to each selected artist (all exhibitions will take place between November 2026 and April 2027)
• Collection of Works: Within 7 calendar days after the closing of each exhibition.

Mixi Art Studio reserves the right to modify dates for justified reasons, with timely notification to participants.

11. Selection Process
The selection process is internal and will be carried out by the Artistic Director, the Exhibition Designer of Mixi Art Studio, and two invited cultural agents.

12. Sales Commission
Mixi Art Studio will apply a 50% – 50% commission on the net sale price of each work. The artist will receive their 50% share within 10 calendar days following the purchase transaction, once the sale is completed and payment has been received in full.

13. Intellectual Property
The artist retains all copyright of their work. Mixi Art Studio is authorized to use images of the works and the artist for promotional purposes related to the exhibition and the Open Call.

14. Data Protection
Personal data and submitted materials will be used for the management of this Open Call and to send future information about Mixi Art Studio's activities to those who expressly authorize it. Participants may request at any time not to receive such communications.

15. Force Majeure
Mixi Art Studio is not responsible if the program is affected by force majeure events such as pandemics, natural disasters, nuclear disasters, or other unforeseen events beyond its control.

17. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Salt Lake City, Utah.
