Artists, Writers, and/or Crafters who created the work must be present at the event to sell their work; i.e. you may not use a Creator space to represent a third-party.

Note: The MNCBA prohibits at its events the display and/or sale of all art, merchandise, and other works created using generative AI.
SPACE REQUEST
To host as many creators as possible, creators may only purchase one space at the $135 rate. If you require more than one space due to the volume of artwork and/or merchandise you are selling, you must apply as a vendor.

Each space is approximately 10' X 10' and includes one (1) 8' X 30" table, two (2) chairs, and two (2) Creator badges for entry. You will need to purchase regular admissions for any additional helpers beyond the included two badges.

Banners and displays may not be taller than 10' high (including the height of the table for tabletop displays) and may not extend into aisles or others' space.

Complimentary lunch is provided for Creators.

Special Requests
Placement on the floor plan, accommodations for disabilities, dietary restrictions for our green room, and any other special requests. We do our best to accommodate all requests when possible. If we have any issues with your request, we will contact you.
The Creator selection process is done by a jury of volunteers. Please include the jury and promotional materials indicated on the second page of this application. Failure to provide the jurying materials will result in your application being rejected as incomplete.

All Creators accepted to exhibit at MNCBA FallCon 2025 will be emailed an invoice for payment. You will then have seven (7) days to make payment before your space is offered to the next in line. Failure to complete your payment within seven (7) days of receiving your invoice may result in the loss of your Creator space. If you are mailing your payment, do not send cash. It is recommended that you purchase tracking for payments made by mail. The MNCBA is not responsible for lost or missing mail payments.

You may apply to share a Creator space with one (1) other Creator. Applications for both Creators must be submitted within the same day, will be juried together as a pair, and will be invoiced jointly as one payment. No split payments.
If you wish to share a Creator space, please indicate who the second party is, and which of the two parties will be responsible for payment.
Both Creators sharing a space MUST include this information on their applications.
LEGAL AGREEMENT

PLEASE READ COMPLETELY AND SIGN
Creators shall at all times protect, indemnify, save, and keep harmless the Minnesota Comic Book Association, its members, volunteers, the MN State Fairgrounds in its entirety, against any and all form of loss, cost damage, liability or expense. Including that which arises out of, or from, or by any reason of or act or omission by retailer/dealer, his employees or agents, FallCon attendees/participants, MNCBA staff, volunteers, owners, or the staff of the MN State Fairgrounds. All spaces/tables sales are final. Retailers/Vendors may not assign this contract or any right hereunder nor sublet or license any or all portion of its space without the prior written consent of the MNCBA, which consent shall be in the MNCBA's sole discretion. The signing of this form and participation in FallCon, indicates your full and complete Understanding and 100% acceptance of the stated terms.

REQUIRED jury and promotional materials for creator applicants:
Promotion on the MNCBA social media accounts is not guaranteed, and is contingent upon promotional materials that meet MNCBA format and quality standards being submitted at the time of application.

Even if these materials do not meet our specifications for public promotional materials, all creator applications must include them to move on to the jury process:

Copy-edited, professional biography written in the third-person. Please focus on any comic industry work you are doing now and/or have done in the past.*
Fabricated, flippant, and/or unprofessional bios will be rejected.
One (1) high-quality photo (head shot) with your face clearly visible so attendees can identify you.*

To keep our promotional materials fresh and engaging for our online audience, we ask that you submit new and/or the most up-to-date materials possible each time you apply to an MNCBA event. Colourful, vertically-oriented images without any text that might be cropped are preferred. Show us what you've got!

Failure to provide the jurying materials as described above will result in your application being rejected as incomplete.

Applications must be submitted by 30 August 2025 and paid in full by 6 September 2025 to be eligible for promotion on the MNCBA social media accounts.
