The results from this test are an indication only, the success of an application will rely on an independent assessment by the DWP.

It's helpful to keep a diary before you take the test. Remember to apply the fluctuating conditions rules, i.e. you are awarded points if you satisfy one or more descriptors under an activity on more than 50% of the days in the twelve month qualifying period.

Tip: When you receive your paper application, make a note of the deadline to return it by. If your application is successful, the award will then be backdated to the date you requested the application form. If you need a bit more time beyond the deadline, you can call the PIP telephone line 0800 917 2222 to extend the deadline.
