If you are proposing a story that is led by video, please provide a link to preview any footage or final videos in your pitch, if available. Please also note that Mongabay may not accept videos whose production status has already started. Later production status projects can be pitched but will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Mongabay only commissions original stories that have not been published in other outlets.

NOTE (June 2024): We are currently only accepting solutions pitches associated with our IPLCs, reforestation, coastal climate initiatives, and agroecology sub-themes. We expect to open the call up more broadly later this year.
