Moorlands College exists to equip people passionate about Jesus Christ to impact the church and the world. Central to this aim is our desire to see students grow as disciples of Jesus. We want this growth to be holistic, encompassing students’ character, calling, motivations, emotions, devotional life, relationships, and academic studies, alongside their ministry and practice.
This desire for Christian growth is shared across the sector, raising the questions: how do students grow as disciples of Jesus within theological education? And, what can theological educators do to further this growth?
This conference aims to gather theological educators together with Christians across a range of vocational spheres to address these questions together. Our Keynote speakers are Grace Al-Zoughbi Arteen, Assistant Professor of Theological Education at Arab Baptist Theological Seminary, Mark Cartledge, Principal of London School of Theology, and Ken Benjamin, Director of Church Relationships at The London Institute for Contemporary Christianity.
In addition, if you are a theological educator and want to explore whole-life disciple making in theological education in more depth prior to this conference, please take a look at https://licc.org.uk/events/formation-for-enabling-ministry-course/, a free course offered by LICC in conjunction with the Church of England, supported by a 5-session zoom-based community of practice running January through April.
