Thank you for your interest in The Birmingham Falls PTO Board for the 2026/2027 school year. We will be gathering all interest forms between now and April 10th at 10pm. PTO Board Position applications will be reviewed and voted on by Wednesday, April 15 and we will notify selected new Board Members no later than EOD Friday, April 17th. Thanks for your patience as we go through this process in accordance to our BFES PTO bylaws.

PTO President Elect - This position will shadow the PTO President for the 2026-2027 school year and will serve as the PTO President for the 2027-2028 school year. This position is a two-year total commitment. This position will hold fiscal responsibility for the organization from July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028.
PTO Treasurer Elect - This position will shadow the PTO Treasurer for the 2026-2027 school year and serve as the PTO Treasurer for the 2027-2028 school year. This position is a two-year total commitment. This position is also responsible for PTO Sponsorships as well as the Business Sponsorships for the school year. This position will hold fiscal responsibility for the organization from July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028.
PTO Parliamentary Secretary - The Parliamentary Secretary is a combined board position responsible for both governance and record-keeping for the PTO. This individual shall maintain the official record of all PTO meetings, including accurate minutes and documentation of decisions made. The Parliamentary Secretary should be knowledgeable in rules of order and proper meeting conduct. Responsibilities include maintaining and referencing the PTO bylaws as needed, ensuring proper voting procedures are followed, and supporting the board in adhering to established policies and governance standards. In addition, this position will oversee BFES PTO Spirit wear, working in partnership with the President and Media & Communications Chair on design direction, ordering, and inventory management. The Parliamentary Secretary serves a one-year term. This position's term will begin July 1, 2026 and will end June 30, 2027.
PTO Media Communications - The person in the Media Communications role will partner with the President and General Communications roles to help create and distribute content regarding PTO and school-related activities across BFES PTO Social Media Channels, Newsletter and BFES PTO Website. This position holds a one-year term. This position's term will begin July 1, 2026 and will end June 30, 2027.
PTO General Communications - The person in the General Communications role will partner with the President and Media Communications roles to help write and distribute content regarding PTO and school-related activities across as well as be responsible for Room Parent Communications and Volunteer Group. This position holds a one-year term. This position's term will begin July 1, 2026 and will end June 30, 2027.
PTO Event Coordinator - The Event Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of all PTO-sponsored events throughout the school year. This individual will work closely with each designated event chair to provide guidance, maintain consistency, and ensure alignment with PTO goals and expectations. The Event Coordinator will support event chairs in developing and managing event budgets, helping to ensure financial responsibility and adherence to approved allocations. This role will monitor overall event spending and communicate regularly with the Treasurer and President regarding budget status and needs. The Event Coordinator serves a one-year term. For the 2026–2027 school year, the term will begin July 1, 2026 and conclude June 30, 2027.
PTO Community Connections Chair - The Community Connections Chair is a board position responsible for strengthening relationships between the PTO and the broader school community. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between the PTO, families, local businesses, and community partners to foster engagement, collaboration, and support throughout the school year. This role will oversee PTO membership efforts, including promoting membership enrollment, tracking participation, and developing strategies to increase involvement across all grade levels. The Community Connections Chair will work closely with the President, Treasurer, and Media & Communications Chair to ensure clear messaging and consistent outreach regarding membership benefits and community initiatives. The Community Connections Chair serves a one-year term. For the 2026–2027 school year, the term will begin July 1, 2026 and conclude June 30, 2027.
