  • The 2026 Mortar Board National Conference will be held Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27 at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel in Columbus, Ohio.

    All conference participants should use this form to register. 

    If several people from one chapter are attending the conference, each individual must complete a registration form to ensure personal selections and rooming preferences are accurate.

  • Delegates: Each Mortar Board collegiate chapter sends one student delegate to learn how to effectively run the chapter, develop professional skills, connect with Mortar Boards across the country, and vote on important and official Society business. The delegate's attendance is covered by the chapter's payment of the annual fee ($350). This fee is sometimes covered by the chapter's local dues, fundraising, or institution. It should be paid when the chapter submits the Official Membership Report (OMR). You may pay for the annual fee now by choosing the appropriate option below. 

    *Please do not make your own hotel reservation. We will be reserving all rooms for Mortar Board attendees.

  • Additional Chapter Registration: In addition to the chapter's official delegate, additional chapter members AND advisors are strongly encouraged to attend! Use this form to register and pay the additional participant fee or advisor registration fee of $350. The registration fee covers your hotel room for two nights (double occupancy), meals, programming, and conference materials. (Note: The official delegate's registration fee is covered by the Chapter Annual Fee.)

  • Welcome Mortar Board alumni! Alumni participants may choose to attend the full conference with lodging ($600), the full conference without lodging if local ($300), or Saturday only ($150).

  • Welcome Mortar Board National Leaders!

    National Leaders will arrive in time for meetings and networking on Thursday, September 24. Meetings will continue on Friday, September 25 prior to the official start of the conference. Once the conference begins, you can look forward to a full access experience. Your registration fee is complimentary. Thank you for your service to Mortar Board!

  • STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE AT-LARGE

    The Student Representative-at-Large for the National Council is a one-year term as a voting member of the Mortar Board National Council. Responsibilities include: 

    • Participation in the National Conference (in-person during even years, virtual during odd), the Special National Conference (virtual each January), and the National Leadership Summit (odd years)
    • Attendance at monthly meetings (virtual)
    • Participation in national initiatives such as Mortar Board Week and National Virtual Initiations
    • Cultivate relationships with Mortar Board collegiate members through programs, conversations, social media, and other modes
    • Serve on Standing Committees
    • Advocate for collegiate members in all matters
    • Be a champion for Mortar Board Inc.
    • Uphold the values of Mortar Board

    STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD

    The Student Advisory Board members provide guidance and support to the Student Representatives at-Large and the National Society, and each elected representative will serve as the voice of students for their region. This is a one-year term. *This is an elected position. Elections will take place during conference.

    CONFERENCE COMMITTEES

    The Conference Nominating and Credentials Committee coordinates the operation of the nominations process and the balloting for Student Representative at-large and the Student Advisory Board. Committee members are responsible for the accounting of delegates and maintaining voting integrity. This committee also coordinates the presentation and election of the candidates for Student Representative at-large presentation to the delegation. This committee also has the opportunity post-conference (at the discretion of committee members) to work with the Standing Nominations Committee throughout the year to help recruit and select leadership to run for positions of the National Council.

    The Conference Committee on Resolutions and Recommendations receives resolutions and recommendations from the delegation to help guide the future development of the Society. The committee will present its resolutions and recommendations at the Business Meeting. This committee must plan to meet at least twice during the conference to gather recommendations and prepare a cogent presentation to the delegation. This committee also has the opportunity post-conference (at the discretion of individual committee members) to work with the Governance Committee to receive changes to the Mortar Board National Bylaws. Voting on proposed bylaws changes occurs twice a year, and only student delegates cast a vote.

    Conference committees may meet multiple times before and throughout the conference to conduct business.

  • MORTAR BOARD SINGERS

    The Mortar Board Singers are the official choir of the National Leadership Conference. The group gathers for rehearsal multiple times throughout the conference and sings Mortar Board songs at special events throughout the weekend.

  • If you have a roommate preference, please list their name above. If not, you'll be paired by the National Office staff. Please note, we'll only grant roommate preferences when both parties agree. If you've selected a single you may skip this section. 

  • Special Accommodation: The Mortar Board National Office will contact you soon to learn how we can best accommodate you to allow for a rich and rewarding conference experience. Requests made close to the time of conference may not be able to be met, so please submit this form as early as possible. 

  • Preconference Options

  • All activities are optional, free of charge, and will take place on Friday, September 25 from Noon-2pm. The conference officially begins on September 25th at 2pm.

  • Payment and Submission

  • Adopt-a-Chapter

    If you are able, please contribute to the Adopt-A-Chapter fundraising initiative. This initiative supports a chapter's conference participation by sending additional deserving chapter members, along with the official delegate. You may donate below or by clicking the donation link in your confirmation email. Your donations are much appreciated and any donation level will help chapters in need attend the conference.
