  • 2025 Night of Champions

    Nomination Criteria Explained
  • The 2025 Motorcycling Queensland Awards Night will be held on December 5, 2025, at Kedron Wavell Services Club.

Motorcycling Queensland is reaching out to our affiliated Clubs and Subcommittees to nominate their members to help recognise the achievements of Queensland's outstanding individuals, events, and clubs.

An Awards Night Panel will then distil the nominees down to finalists or winners in our key award categories.

To be the best steward of your discipline, we encourage you to nominate the top achievers in your code, regardless of whether you think they will win an award. The experience of being at an Awards Night, meeting the best and watching how they act, getting some time in the spotlight and maybe with the microphone – all those things help grow your achievers.

And growing motorcycle people is what we’re all here for.

This document has been prepared to help explain this year’s Awards categories.

Note: Subcommittees are reminded that only the attached Nomination Forms can be used to nominate individuals for the following award categories.

Nominations close on October 30, 2025.

    • Event of the Year
    • An event that has captured the imagination of the motorcycling (and broader) public (not restricted to competition events only). Event shows its designer’s ability to ‘think outside of the square’ and deliver a great product for competitors, officials, spectators, sponsors, etc.

    • Series of the Year
    • A series that has captured the imagination of the motorcycling (and broader) public – not restricted to competition events only. An ability for this event to ‘think outside of the square’ and deliver a great product for competitors, officials, spectators, sponsors, etc.

    • Official of the Year
    • An Official who demonstrates an ability to uphold the highest standards, no matter what the circumstances. A willingness and proficiency with mentoring less experienced officials will be viewed favourably.

    • Volunteer of the Year
    • The life blood of any not-for-profit club or organisation, volunteers contribute across a wide variety of roles from local committee members to canteen coordinators, track maintenance, and event helpers. This is someone who generously goes above and beyond, possibly at the expense of their personal time, finances, etc.

    • Youth Volunteer of the Year (Under 25)
    • This is for people under 25 years of age who are volunteering their time in our sport in a variety of roles from local committee members to canteen coordinators, track maintenance, and event helpers. • MQ clubs are the public face of motorcycle sport, and the capacity of these clubs to provide exceptional services to their members directly contributes to the overall success of the sport as a whole. Outstanding clubs excel in organising smoothly run, financially successful events, securing sponsorships and grants, providing coaching and training programs to their members, and nurturing positive relationships at various levels, including local government and within the Motorcycling Queensland office.
