A member of the Church may only vote by appointing the Chairman of the ACM as the member’s proxy to vote at the meeting. This proxy voting form is an instrument of appointment, also known as the Proxy Voting Form, and will be automatically forwarded to church@carmel.sg upon submission at the end of the form.

All completed proxy voting forms (electronic or postal hardcopy) must be submitted or reach church office not later than 30 December 2024, 2359hrs.

The Board of Elders commends to members the following 10 nominees for election and re-election to Session at our 2025 Annual Congregational Meeting.

Ps Jabez Chia  (Re-election as Session Member)
谢铭強牧师(重选连任)为长执会成员
Proposer: Dn Jerry Ng  Seconder: Dn Andrew Ong

Ps Jabez prayed to receive Christ in 1984. He has been a pastor for 29 years and was ordained in 2004. God called him to Carmel’s pastoral team in 2012. If re-elected, he will continue as Pastor-in-charge of the Worship Domain, Family Ministry and oversee the Mandarin Worship Service (MWS). He is married to Sarah and they have two children, Letazia and Macarius.

Eld Lai Pak Wah (Re-election as Elder)
赖柏华长老(重选连任)为长执团的长老
Proposer: Ps Peter Teo  Seconder: Dn Titus Lau

Eld Pak Wah became a Christian in 1992 and joined Mount Carmel in 1994. He is Principal and Lecturer at the Biblical Graduate School of Theology. Pak Wah preaches regularly and also serves in the Young Adults Ministry. Previously, he was the Deacon for “Education for Christian Formation” for 6 years. He has been an Elder since 2022, leading the Transformation Taskforce. If re-elected, he will continue to serve as the Elder for Evangelism, Leadership Development and as part of the task force for the redevelopment of Clementi Bible Center. He is married to Rina and they have two children, Fide and Isaiah.

Eld Loh Pin Chuan (Re-election as Elder)

Proposer: Ps Oh Boon Leong  Seconder: Dn Kenneth Lim

Eld Pin Chuan has worshipped in Carmel for more than 20 years. A Corporate Treasurer by profession, he served as Deacon-in-charge of the Alpha Course and OCTOPUS ministries before being elected as an elder in 2022 to oversee Evangelism. If re-elected, he will chair the Standing Committee which oversees Human Resources, Finance and Governance. He and his wife Jo-Ann belong to Praise II CG and they have two teenagers, Aiden and Evan.

Eld Albunus Ng (Re-election as Elder)

Eld Albunus was brought up in Malaysia and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in his teenage years. He transferred his membership to Mount Carmel in 1994. In Carmel, he served as a Worship Deacon from 2008 to 2013, enjoyed singing in musicals and has been an Elder since 2019. Albunus is currently a lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic. If re-elected, he will continue as the Elder for Worship. He is married to Bak Eng and they are blessed with two sons, Jerroll and Thaddeus.

Dn Timothy Liu (Election as Elder)

Dn Timothy came to faith as a child and his family joined Carmel in 2007.  Active in marketplace ministry and a grassroots leader, Tim currently serves as the Deacon for Care Group (CG) Ministry. If elected, Dn Timothy will assume the role of Elder for the Instruction domain and continue to support the CG Ministry. He works at Institute of Mental Health as a healthcare administrator.  He is married to Oi Leng and they are blessed with two children, Charissa and Benedict.

Dn David Chua (Election as Elder)

Dn David came to Christ in 1994 and has been a member of Carmel since 1999. He was elected as Deacon in 2014 and currently serves in the Youth Ministry. If elected, he will assume the role of Elder for the Fellowship domain. David leads the National Youth Council under the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. He is married to Valerie and they are blessed with four children Megan, Zachary, Jonathan and Asher.

Dn Terry Siow (Re-election as Deacon)

Dn Terry came to Christ in 1988 and has been a member of Mount Carmel since 1996. He currently serves in the Care Group (CG) Ministry and looks forward to serving in any areas of need for the Lord. If re-elected, he will continue serve as the Deacon for CG.  Terry works at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He is married to Stephanie and they have two children, Ethan and Emma.

Dn Andrew Tan  (Re-election as Deacon)

Dn Andrew was baptised as an infant and reaffirmed his faith at Life BP Church in 1988 and he has been worshipping in Carmel since 2005.   Elected as Deacon for Saturday Evening Service (SES) in 2019, he currently supports the church operations in the ushers and greeter’s ministry. If re-elected, Dn Andrew will continue to serve as the Deacon for church operations and support the Worship domain. Andrew works in the Building and Construction Industry. He is married to Cindy and they have two sons, Elias and Elgin.

Mr Benedict Leow (Election as Deacon)

Benedict accepted Christ in his teenage years and was baptised in 1998. He and his family have been worshipping in Carmel since 2013. He has served in the choir and currently leads the men’s ministry, CMfC. If elected, he will assume the role of Treasurer, taking over from Dns Yvonne Liew. Benedict is a business director and he is married to Lynda and they have two children, Timothy and Stephanie.

Ms Dawn Ho (Election as Deaconess)

Proposer: Dn Adrian Wong  Seconder: Dns Samantha Tsang

Dawn was baptized as an infant in Carmel and reaffirmed her faith in 2004. Growing up in Carmel, she played the piano for Sunday School and currently serves on the worship team as a bassist and back-up singer. Dawn works as a legal counsel and volunteers with The Saturday Movement, ministering to the elderly at Lengkok Bahru. If elected, she will assume the role of Deaconess for Worship, taking over from Dn Adrian Wong who will be the Clerk of Session.
