Rules and Guidelines
Exhibition dates:
October 3–17, 2025
Artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.
Location:
October 3, 2025: John F. Fick III Conference Center
October 6–17, 2025: Mary Washington Hospital Atrium
Eligibility: Open to the entire greater Fredericksburg community and all MWHC associates.
Application deadline: A completed registration form must be submitted by September 6, 2025. Please include a photo or two of your artwork with your online application. We will notify all applicants if their piece is accepted by 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 8.
Accepted medium: All 2-dimensional works of art are welcome, including drawing, painting, embroidery, poetry, photography, or digital art. MWHC reserves the right to omit works deemed inappropriate for the hospital environment.
Number of works: Each artist is invited to exhibit ONE work.
Size limitations: So that we may accomodate as many works as possible, there is a maximum size of 36 in. (91.5cm) in either direction for 2D pieces.
Return of work: After the exhibit closes, works of art must be picked up from Snowden at Fredericksburg from October 20 through October 22, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Artwork not picked up by October 22 will be disposed of at MWHC’s discretion.
Delivery of art: All work must be delivered to Snowden at Fredericksburg between September 15 and September 19. If your work is chosen, we will email you these guidelines, including an ID card for you to print, cut out, and attach to the back of your artwork.
Insurance: Artworks received for temporary exhibit will be given the utmost care and respect, however, MWHC is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged artwork and no insurance is provided by the foregoing to cover such liability.
Sales & commission: Artworks will not be listed for sale during this exhibit.
