Children in the 3 – 6-year-old Children’s House programme participate in a number of fun activities which can include: arts & crafts, music & movement, gardening, French, yoga, and cookless cooking.
The Afterschool Supervisor and teachers ensure that the children’s experience is enriching and enjoyable. This programme is also supported by some of our students in the Secondary Division who engage in community service as a part of their coursework.
Children staying for Afterschool Care require:
- A wide-brimmed hat for outdoor play
- Sunblock (in warm weather)
- A refillable water bottle
- An additional snack
Guidelines:
- All children are expected to follow the directions and requests of the After School Care counsellors.
- Children must check in with the counsellors on duty when they arrive in After School Care and parents must sign their child out upon leaving.
- Children must stay in the area where supervision is taking place. Under no circumstances may children wander through the school or in unsupervised areas on the school grounds. We ask that children let the supervisor know when they go to the bathroom.
- If your child is attending an extracurricular programme and will need to go to After School Care afterwards, please send a note to both the teacher and the After School Care provider.
- If there is a change in who will be picking up your child, please call the After School Care phone (536-9797) and leave a message. The supervisor checks all messages at the start of After School Care each day. Please remember that your child must be signed out, regardless of who is collecting them.
Children must be picked up no later 5:30 pm. There will be a late charge of $2.00 per minute. Late fees will be charged to you through the Accounts office.
Rates:
- Annual Payment: $2,350
- Termly: $870
- Daily: $30 (billed monthly to school account)
