The NAREB Development Fund is excited to present the NAREB Developers Academy Phase III. This is a transformative initiative to address the pressing need for increased inventory and housing supply in the real estate development industry by equipping emerging developers with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to scale as developers. The program aims to foster economic equity, increase homeownership rates, and revitalize underserved communities. Through a rigorous curriculum, strategic partnerships, and a community-focused approach, the Developers Academy will create a sustainable pipeline of real estate developers poised to make a lasting impact.
Phase 3 of the the Academy will be based on grouped regional cohorts. Each application received will be scored by an internal selection committee. The committee will be accessing each application to determine development experience, interest, and opportunities to develop that the applicant has access to.
Program duration and certification:
Participants will join a six-month cohort-based program. The cohort size will consist of 15-25 participants. Upon completing the program, participants will receive a certification from the NAREB Development Fund. The certification package will include a certificate, copies of all course materials and resources, access to program instructors and inclusion in the internal cohort network forums.
Geographic focus and community identification: The program is a national initiative open to all NAREB members in good standing. The program will feature in-person opening and closing sessions at NAREB's 2026 Mid-Winter and 2026 National Conferences. The remaining modules will be conducted via instructor-led Zoom sessions. Partnership:
Enterprise was the initial curriculum partner for the Developers Academy. They have developed a specialized curriculum tailored to the needs of our program participants, who are practicing real estate agents and brokers with a basic knowledge of real estate. Hence, this collaboration ensures that participants receive comprehensive, high-quality training that compares favorably with what Enterprise offers independently.
Program Fee:
If selected, each participant will be required to pay a non-refundable program fee of $250.00
We ask you to only apply for the program if you are committed to attending every session and completing the program. NDF will only allow 2 excused absences. Each participant will also have to participate in pre, during, and post-surveying as part of our reporting and documentation process.
