Before selecting, please read the Category Descriptions to find the best match for your book.
A category title tells you what territory a book explores.
Its Guiding Question helps reveal the deeper conversation the category invites.
When considering where your book belongs, don't look only for matching keywords or subject matter. Ask:
What is my book fundamentally trying to explore, illuminate, or contribute?
Then consider which category's Guiding Question most closely reflects that purpose.
Select the category that best fits your book. You may also choose up to three additional categories below.
Requesting a Fourth Additional Category?
If you believe your book strongly aligns with a fourth additional category, please contact us before submitting your entry.

Please note: A multi-book set submitted as one entry will be evaluated as one complete work and will be eligible for one Nautilus Award per category entered. If you would like individual books or volumes to be evaluated and considered for awards separately, each must be submitted as a separate entry.
If you have selected Yes or I'm Not Sure, please do not continue with this entry yet.
Books previously submitted to the Nautilus Book Awards are generally not eligible for resubmission. If your book has been substantially revised or released as a new edition, eligibility must be confirmed by Nautilus before you submit the entry or make payment.
