    The NC and SC Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects sponsors an Annual Awards Program. Georgia will hold their own awards at a later date. SERC strengthens the profession in NC and SC while promoting stewardship of the environment by recognizing significant achievements of landscape architects, citizens, organizations and landscape architecture students. This years Annual Awards Program is administered by the NCASLA Executive Committee Member-At-Large and additional assistance from the NCASLA Association Manager.  The SERC Awards Program procedures closely follow the national ASLA Awards Program procedures. 
  • Special Awards

    The Special Awards Program recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the profession and to the enhancement of the physical environment.  All Special Awards nominations are solicited and reviewed by the Past President’s Council, which votes on the final selection. 
  • North Carolina Award

    Purpose: To recognize a career of achievement, leadership and service at the highest level by a professional landscape architect.  This award will be given to individuals with a statewide stature and a lifetime contribution.  The North Carolina Award is the Chapter’s highest award. Selection Criteria: NCASLA member with a career of achievement, leadership, and service in Landscape Architecture who has made a unique and lasting impact on the profession.
  • South Carolina Award

    Purpose: To recognize a career of achievement, leadership and service at the highest level by a professional landscape architect.  This award will be given to individuals with a statewide stature and a lifetime contribution.  The South Carolina Award is the Chapter’s highest award. Selection Criteria: SCASLA member with a career of achievement, leadership, and service in Landscape Architecture who has made a unique and lasting impact on the profession.
  • President's Council Award (NC ONLY)

    Purpose: To recognize an NCASLA member for major contributions to the achievement of the profession of Landscape Architecture in North Carolina over a minimum period of five years. Selection Criteria: NCASLA member who has made major and significant contributions to the advancement of the profession of landscape architecture in North Carolina over a minimum period of five years.
  • President's Council Award (SC ONLY)

    Purpose: To recognize an SCASLA member for major contributions to the achievement of the profession of Landscape Architecture in South Carolina over a minimum period of five years. Selection Criteria: SCASLA member who has made major and significant contributions to the advancement of the profession of landscape architecture in South Carolina over a minimum period of five years.
  • Landscape Architecture Firm Award (NC ONLY)

    Purpose: To recognize an outstanding landscape architecture firm for major contributions to the achievement of the profession of landscape architecture in North Carolina over a minimum period of five years. Selection Criteria: North Carolina landscape architecture firm which has made major and significant contributions to the advancement of the profession of Landscape Architecture in North Carolina over a minimum period of five years.
  • Landscape Architecture Firm Award (SC ONLY)

    Purpose: To recognize an outstanding landscape architecture firm for major contributions to the achievement of the profession of landscape architecture in South Carolina over a minimum period of five years. Selection Criteria: South Carolina landscape architecture firm which has made major and significant contributions to the advancement of the profession of Landscape Architecture in South Carolina over a minimum period of five years.
  • Citizen's Award (NC ONLY)

    Purpose: To recognize the work of an individual or group, other than landscape architects, that has contributed to the enhancement of the physical environment of North Carolina, thereby enriching the spatial, cultural,and personal lives of North Carolina citizens.  The award also may recognize those who have promoted a better understanding and acceptance of landscape architecture within the community or contributed to the education of landscape architects.  The contribution must embody NCASLA’s commitment to stewardship of the environment and quality of life. Selection Criteria:Significant contribution to improving the physical environment in North Carolina, or promoting understanding of landscape architecture, or contribution to the education of landscape architects.
