  • Apple picking at Villa Maria orchard

Once again we have the opportunity to pick apples at the Villa Maria Orchard !

The orchard is located on the grounds of Villa Maria school, a very old and mainly untended apple orchard.

Rather than letting the apples fall and go to waste, we'll be saving them for the community.

All are welcome (kids too!) and you will also be able to take some apples home.

    Please note:

There are about 15 trees, with varying quantities of apples. These are big trees and most branches will be difficult to reach without ladders, even more so for very young children (we will be bringing stepladders and apple pickers).

The orchard can be riddled with groundhog burrows, so we'll need to be careful where we walk (so may not be appropriate for very young children or those with mobility difficulties).
