The NEA-New Mexico Elections Committee calls for nominations for offices to be elected in the 2027 All-Member Election. All nominations due by close of business on Tuesday, October 10, 2026. Nominations are open for the following offices:

Please refer to the full Call for Nominations for the terms of positions at www.neanm.org. Terms of office: Most terms begin on July 15, 2027 with the exception of "unexpired terms," (if applicable) which will commence upon election.

Nominee and nominator must be members of NEA-NM in category nominating.

* The actual number of retired delegates and cluster delegates to be elected will be determined by the membership figures in each category as they exist on January 15, 2027. Student delegates to be elected will be determined by the membership figures in each category as they exist on March 21, 2027.

October 24, 2026, 12pm	Deadline for receipt of written Declarations for write-in candidates.
October 24, 2026	At-Large elections, conducted at Delegate Council, if applicable.
October 30, 2026	Deadline for candidate statements
February 2, 2027	Postcards/emails for electronic voting instructions mailed Instructions to request an optional paper ballot Electronic voting begins
February 17, 2027	Postmark deadline for eligible voters to return optional paper ballots
February 24, 2027, 5pm	Electronic voting closes Deadline for paper ballots
February 27, 2027	Elections Committee Tally Subcommittee to determine election results
March 1, 2027	Elections Committee will report the elections results to the NEA-NM Board of Directors for certification
