PAYMENT POLICY
Payment for summer camp is due within one week of registering your child/children or 3 days before camp begins, whichever comes first. Payment holds your child/childrens placement in our camp. Late payments may be subject to a late fee of up to 20% of the total tuition or may result in your child losing their spot in NG programming. Your payment shows your commitment to camp and allows NG to effectively schedule camp councillors.
Refunds can be requested prior to camp starting. Before June 1st you can get a full refund minus a $20 service fee. Between June 1st and July 1st you can get a 50% refund, or if you find someone to fill your camper's sport you can get a full refund minus a $20 service fee. In the last two weeks before camp you can request a 25% refund. Once camp begins, there are no refunds.
Children not participating in our Lunch Bunch program are to be picked up at dismissal time, 12pm. If they are participating in our Lunch Bunch and NOT the Spinning Silica camp your child must be picked up by 1pm. POSSIBLE CLOSURES
If NG needs to close for any reason or a schedule change needs to be made, due to unforeseen circumstances, or any other reason deemed necessary by the staff of NG or the Town of Nederland., we reserve the right to do so. Either a make-up day will be offered or a refund given at the discretion of NG.
NG and the Town of Nederland management reserves the right to cancel camp due to a lack of participation or a conflict with another event. NG will make every effort to avoid interrupting summer camp and accommodate our students. Where appropriate, refunds will be issued in such events.
COVID & ILLNESS
Do not allow your child to attend class if they have had or been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days. We will follow BVSD's policies on masks and other precautions for our campers.
Children must be free of fever, without the aid of medication, for a minimum of 24 hours before participating in an NG class, camp or event. This helps us to keep the staff and children healthy and happy! If your child has been sick in the last 24 hours, please do not bring him/her to camp. Furthermore, if your child has stayed home from school due to illness, had yellow/green mucus from his/her nose, vomited, or had diarrhea in the past 24 hours do not bring them to camp.
ATTENDING CAMP
A parent/legal guardian must sign the Acknowledgment of Risk & Release of Liability Waiver before their child(ren) participates in class(es)
Children must be dressed appropriately for physical activity: comfortable, fitted clothing that allows for movement and stretching; no denim or rough materials, buttons, zippers or belts. Children must bring a hat and rain jacket/gear.
Shoes should be flexible and allow children to spread and move their toes. "Barefoot" style shoes are suggested. These can be simple, inexpensive water shoes.
Long hair must be pulled back away from the face for their safety and to aid our staff when assisting movements.
No bracelets or earrings (other than small studs), necklaces, or anklets may be worn. If worn, your child/children will be asked to remove these items. NG is not responsible for storing or holding these items, nor is NG responsible if these are lost or stolen.
Children are required to bring a water bottle and sunscreen with them to camp. Please label their water bottle. There is a water fountain where students may refill their water if needed. Please apply suncreeen before dropping off your camper for the day.
NG will provide a fruit snack (e.g. bananas, oranges, watermelon) half-way through each camp day. If you want to provide an additional snack please ensure it is a healthy option free from excess sugar (no candy will be allowed).
NG Movement Camp is a drop-off camp. Parents and other guests not participating in camp are suggested to leave during camp time to allow their children to fully engage in camp. Guardians may watch their children from the sidelines for a few minutes before the end of camp. If you need to reach your child urgently, please ask a staff member for assistance.
For safety reasons, we ask that you DO NOT use flash photography at any time during classes. Special arrangements can be made with the NG staff for pictures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
NG and its employees will make every effort to monitor children after camp but children can become anxious when they don’t see their parent/guardian after activities end. It is my responsibility to pick up my child/children on time, at 4:30pm each day. If someone else is picking up my child after camp I will let camp staff know this. NG is not responsible for my child/children after camp ends, nor is NG responsible for items left at Chipeta Park.
I am responsible to notify NG staff if my email, physical address, or phone number(s) changes.
I am responsible to pay for camp in full before it starts as outlined above.
I am responsible to ensure that my child/children comes to camp in good health and free of injury. Any physical injuries or special needs that my child/children has must be disclosed to staff before participation.
I am responsible to send my child/children to camp each day properly dressed with sunscreen applied, the above mentioned items and an optional snack. See above for details.
